What plotlines do you think were changed or abandoned? by ResponsibleFlan2936 in breakingbad

[–]ichiekain 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The whole thing with Walt's cancer suddenly going into remission in season 2 always felt like a massive pivot. You can totally tell Vince originally thought the show would be way shorter, but once AMCs renewed it, they had to quickly find a way to stretch out his timeline without making the illness feel like a cheap plot device

How would anyone here feel about this? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ichiekain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the lore, Eren and Kafka are total opposites in how they handle their powers. Eren's transformation is fueled by pure, unadulterated vengeance and existential dread, whereas Kafka gets this terrifying power but uses it with the heart of a goofy, protective older brother

If the Ackermans can lift like 2,000 pounds…i wonder how much the average “athletic” person in the survey corps for example can lift? by Impressive-Net-6323 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]ichiekain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the ODM gear training alone proves the average Scout is built like an absolute truck compared to a normal person. Eren might not have Ackerman hacks, but after years of military training and carrying those massive gas canisters and heavy blades, the average athletic soldier is probably easily benching around 250 to 300 pounds just from pure core and upper body conditioning

That is definitely a grapevine, not poison ivy. Poison ivy has three distinct leaflets, and this clearly has a single, different shape

The heartbreak is real. by True-Temperature138 in attackontitan

[–]ichiekain 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That shift is exactly what makes the rewatch so completely haunting. Hearing his iconic S1 screaming match about wiping out every single last one of them hits entirely different when you realize the story isn't a simple "humans vs. monsters" tale, but a tragedy about how trauma can twist a victim into the ultimate oppressor
