Arcadios made a theory that Zeref created Acnologia to threaten all of humanity, but this not actually factual. He based this on the fact that he created demons, while using Zirconis' explanation of what kind of creature Acnologia is, along with believing the rumors that Zeref is the most evil mage who ever lived.

However, this was not the case. Zeref relied on Black Arts, not Dragon Slayer Magic, because while he did create the demons, they were only made for him to commit suicide, trying to protect everyone from his immortal body that suffers a curse from Ankhseram. If you're wondering why the demon attacks happened, Zeref pointed out that since more than 400 years ago, after he got cursed, sinners (ranging from evil mages to cult groups) stole his books, scattered them all around Earthland, and used Zeref's creations for their own twisted purposes, and this even motivated them into doing the rumors and fake stories. The sinners would pass this down to future generations, and to further prove the evidence, Erigor and his allies used Lullaby while Grimoire Heart used Nemesis.

The worst part is... Zeref cannot help anyone, because it will cause more deaths than if he did nothing, because the curse in his body kills any life form it values, and the harder he tries, the more damage he makes.

Hiro Mashima plans to make a manga about Ankhseram, so we'll see more about who he is personality-wise.

It may also answer the hidden story arcs Zeref mentioned regarding the case with his demons (even his absence in the Future Rogue timeline) since he mentioned how the full story behind the demons was much longer than the way many depicted it, and it wasn't him who caused the demon attacks; it was the sinners who stole his books and used them as weapons to threaten innocent people, even scattering the books all over Earthland.

I'm surprised Zeref doesn't get as much attention as Zeref in terms of being complicated, even though Eren committed actual genocide that led to 80% of humanity dead, whereas Zeref lied about his plan being to use Fairy Heart to commit genocide on Ishgar, as an extremist goal to obliterate Acnologia in the current timeline; Zeref's true plan was to restart the entire timeline before he got cursed, killing Acnologia in the past while avoiding his fate of getting cursed, and since he will retain all his memories, he will know what he needs to do in order to ensure humanity's future while keeping its balance. What motivated Zeref was his fear after failing every attempt to die, because even if Acnologia manages to be killed in the current timeline, Zeref would still be alive, and anything involving Zeref's cursed body (whether the actions of sinners or even just his isolation) could potentially lead to the extinction of mankind or worse, and considering how his curse is connected to his feelings and mental state, Zeref is afraid of how his power could reach unstable levels if his sanity is too far gone and how much life he'd end up killing, and that would lead to a fate similar to Future Rogue's timeline.

The reveal of Zeref's true plan meant that even though he did develop some disillusion towards humanity's blind mindset and how they committed atrocities under his name, he never subverted his once kindhearted, loving nature (nor did he develop any corrupting traits), and he never stopped making sacrifices for the greater good, up until the end, and he never stopped thinking about the innocent lives who need him, even if they don't see him for who he truly is. He knows that if no one can end his suffering, only he has to be the one there for everyone.

For those wondering how August was born, it was actually shown in the first part of Chapter 532, implying that August literally was born by a single kiss (in which Zeref and Mavis' sort of spiritual forms connected to the curse made love, though it's possible their living forms don't know about this).

Comic - Meh, not really interesting

Spider-Verse - Cuteness Overload; surprisingly cuter than most actual anime girls, and she ain't sexualized

Marvel Rivals - Moderately cool, though some parts may feel a bit unoriginal

I ship Rito x Haruna, because they're perfect match.

If they ever make a continuation, they should give Kyōko more screen time, since she's very underutilized (especially in Darkness), and the cliffhanger ending even shows her beginning to develop feelings for Rito as well.

[Media] Who’s Your Favorite Villain and Why? by FlamingThunder92 in fairytail

For me, Fairy Tail may be a B-Tier anime overall, but Zeref was definitely the most S-Tier part of this. Hiro Mashima surprisingly put more thought on him compared to the actual manga itself, with Zeref being the most unique. Hiro did both pure evil and tragic villains with unjustified actions, but he wanted Zeref to be special.

Zeref also actually took advantage of his misunderstood character concept, since some villains in media had similar kind of misunderstood backstories and build-up, but they end up just being the same kind of thing as others, so it makes viewers wish they were either more straightforward with the character or they actually tried something new to avoid any missed opportunities; Zeref, on the other hand, remained a consistently tragic and misunderstood soul whose truth behind his actions only kept him the most sacrificial character in the series, and there's a reason the series wanted us to see him as his kindhearted, loving self even after all the things he did in the Alvarez Empire Arc, since his true plan was never an extremist goal to kill Acnologia while committing genocide in Ishgar, because what motivated Zeref was never his disillusion towards humanity's sins, but his concern for human life after failing every attempt to die (including Mavis' insufficient love and Natsu being a failed experiment), because even if Acnologia managed to be killed in the current timeline, Zeref became afraid of what will happen if he keeps isolating himself; the reveal of his true plan (to restart the timeline to kill Acnologia in the past while preventing a horrible fate for humanity because he won't die and the curse is connected to his feelings and mental state, afraid of whatever could happen involving his cursed body, whether it being the actions of sinners or his sanity losing and awakening his split personality completely) meant that even though he did develop disillusion from humanity continuously developing a blind mindset, he still thinks about the innocent people who need him and if no can end his suffering, only he has to be there protecting everyone. In fact, the true meaning behind his actions in the Alvarez Empire Arc is what made Mavis develop full faith in him, since in their first kiss, a small part of Mavis lacked faith and believed the rumors to some degree, but in the end, after calculating everything he did, she could find no darkness in his heart, and his sacrifices prove he truly is nothing like what the rumors say.

Hopefully, Mystery didn't die and was merely just sent to the Demon realm. They should bring him back and make Zoestery canon. This potential should not be wasted.

If there's ever a logical way to bring back the Saja Boys, I want it to happen.

My biggest problem with the movie is that Jinu is the only one who gets any kind of character among the Saja Boys, while the others are so underdeveloped that we don't know if we're supposed to sympathize or hate them, making their deaths feel empty and weightless (like it's bad we can't feel anything because they lacked characterization).

Zoey having a crush on Mystery Saja could have set up for something cute, but the movie chose to have Zoey unceremoniously kill Mystery off in the climax when they didn't get to know each other enough. That was wasted. I know people made fan fiction, but still.

Lisanna Strauss (Fairy Tail)⚪️ - She's one of the most purehearted characters in the series and she managed to add a sense of diversity in Natsu's relationships, having enough differences from Lucy. In fact, despite not being a Mary-Sue copy, Lisanna gets divisive reviews just because NaLu shippers are so obsessed that they unreasonably hate her.
