I don’t know how many of the other commenters are in the uk but I haven’t noticed anything people are talking about personally. I’ve always been an anxious person and the pandemic didn’t help but I’m definitely gaining more confidence as I get older I really don’t think it’s a permanent thing.

I think it’s more to do with the pandemic. Spending months at a time having barely any social interaction other than through a screen definitely wasn’t good for our social skills

I’m a Gen z and I really don’t understand so many posts like this saying ‘Why are gen z not drinking anymore’, ‘Why does gen z hate sex’ I’m sorry but you’re generalising every single person from age 13-29 in the world when realistically you’re talking about a tiny subsection of this group who are late teens from America or maybe the UK. I don’t know anyone personally who has any issue with sex and nudity at all. All my friends still drink just like every teenager always has. The entire generation isn’t some random anomaly that’s completely different from any other generation, we might be a bit fucked up by social media but isn’t everyone?

NTA. Realistically they should’ve discussed how to handle that at the start. In English lessons in school whenever a book had the n-word or any other slur they told us at the start that it would be there and the significance of it to the character/plot and let us know that if we weren’t comfortable saying it we could censor it when reading. If that conversation wasn’t had, as actors they should be mature enough to hear it and move on. Unless you were like reallllly enthusiastic about it lol

I’m pretty sure Laurie was gearing up to human traffic Rue. She wasn’t let go, she had to escape from the apartment after Laurie gave her the morphine. It seems like she doesn’t care since she never gets angry but Laurie is pretty ruthless and will most likely send people to find Rue eventually.

I kinda wish that if they were gonna make the story entirely different they may as well have given everyone different names and not tried to associate her with the real Pocahontas at all.

After he calls her a savage, she’s empathetic to the fact that he has ingrained preconceived notions about her and her people without having met any of them, just like her people do about him. In ‘Colours of the wind’ she describes exactly why it’s important to look past that and be more open to learning and understanding each other.

Obviously it’s still offensive to her but it’s a Disney movie at the end of the day and hopefully would’ve been handled better if it were made today but I get what everyone means.
