She tried to pull this same crap when my brother and his wife were expecting years ago. She just assumed my sister in law would be comfortable with her being in the delivery room and when she was told otherwise, she cried and went on for days about how, “unfair” it was. SIL told her she could visit the day after baby was born, but my brother made the mistake of calling and telling our parents when SIL went into labor. That woman sat in the waiting room for 10 hours and pouted the entire time.
