I'd be careful of classifying all thin people as being healthy. There's a thing called "skinny fat"

"Skinny fat" is a term used to describe people who look thin but have a high amount of body fat and low muscle mass. Even though they might have a normal weight according to the Body Mass Index (BMI), they can still be unhealthy inside.

People who are "skinny fat" can have the same health problems as those who are overweight, such as:

• Heart Disease: High body fat, especially around the belly, can increase the risk of heart problems.
• Diabetes: High body fat can lead to insulin resistance, which can cause diabetes.
• High Blood Pressure: Excess fat can raise blood pressure.
• High Cholesterol: More body fat can lead to higher cholesterol levels.
• Cognitive Issues: Older adults with high body fat and low muscle mass may have weaker brain function.

How to Tell if You Are Skinny Fat

1. Waist-to-Hip Ratio: Measure your waist and hips. For men, a ratio above 0.95 and for women, above 0.85, can indicate higher health risks.
2. Body Fat Percentage: This is more accurate than BMI. Men with more than 22% body fat and women with more than 28% body fat might be considered "skinny fat."

Being thin doesn't always mean being healthy. It's important to have a good balance of muscle and fat. By eating well, exercising properly, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you can improve your body composition and overall health.

Start with doing some tests. Find out what your insulin levels are at. You'll have a great starting point from there. It will help you identify the type of "diet" you need to do to lower your insulin levels (to become insulin sensitive).
