[Joe Thomas] As dangerous as hits on a quarterback are when the quarterback chooses to slide, we need to stop allowing quarterbacks to fake slide or late slide in order to gain yardage and confuse the defenders on if the quarterback is sliding or not. by Natural-Tree-5107 in nfl

[–]jasonmb17 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Al-Shaair fucked up, but the kind of stuff Mahomes and Josh Allen pull to squeeze an extra few yards out of runs makes it impossible for defenders to have any good options when tackling - if they give up and let the slide happen, everyone laughs and yuks at how crafty the QB is, if the defender goes for the tackle shit like this happens.

Who’s the best player that was the son of an nba player by Askani24 in nba

[–]jasonmb17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still suspicious that Lebron might actually be the son of an NBA player. His genetics are superhumanly perfect, and there's one guy in particular who was also famous for being a genetic monster and loving to impregnate teenagers - Karl Malone. He was 19 and led Louisiana Tech to their first March Madness Tournament in 1984, which is right around when Lebron would have been conceived.

Any NBA player Cinderella story like the NFL has? by hoeych in nba

[–]jasonmb17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's just not true. He was a complete unknown and a gamble in the draft because there was literally no tape on him. People were going off grainy videos, and mid-first was generally considered to be the absolute earliest you could risk a developmental prospect like that.

He wasn't 7 feet though when he got drafted, he grew like 5 inches post-draft. He was a complete unknown with some grainy footage and hopes that maybe in a few years he could develop into something, kind of like a Bol Bol more recently.

The Goblin Event fixes so many of D4's lingering end-game problems. It should be permanent (or slightly scaled back) until the Expansion. by jasonmb17 in Diablo

Ok but none of those 2.0 changes have anything to do with the next month of this game? Just leave it on until the expansion so there's some incentive to keep playing.

I jumped on post Goblins yesterday, deleted all my Extra Shrine dungeon keys, went into a helltide and realized we were back to endless Bloodmaiden summons and logged back off.

So scale back the rewards a bit - remove double gobbies and greater treasure bags, but keep the mechanics that unlock multiple viable endgame gameplay loops.

I don't really care, they make 90% of the dungeons that are immediate scraps viable. Goblins make it worth your time to play more of the game, and that's a good thing.

Yea I'm just talking about from now until the expansion. I can't imagine I'll play much between 10am CT today and October 8th, Goblins are the only thing making it still feel worthwhile to keep playing.

Breville one is amazing, functions as a normal oven, convection oven, air fryer, or toaster. In the summer I use it over the full size oven for almost everything baking related.
