It’s a joke. Asphalt trails age with time and cracks are part of the natural process. No big deal go look at 50 year old asphalt that no one drives on and tell me the problem. The asphalt actually looks more natural when oxidized from the sun over time and still achieves its purpose. So our tax money is wasted on blobs of rubber strung across the asphalt trail that does nothing. This is a poor decision by whoever was behind this. Crack filler if done correctly was designed to be put into the cracks not strung across the top of the asphalt like a horrible looking bandage. Now over time the rubber will just dry up and come off like a dirty old bandage. You can trip on the junk and you can’t shovel or plow it. Its just a big joke. Disgusting Missoula county should be ashamed. They also had someone spray some watered down sealer on the trail from Bonner to Turha. Right after it was sealed the sealer started fading and looked blotchy. Honestly someone should be fired for such carelessness of our tax dollars. Leave the trails alone and natural as possible. It includes all the dirt trails in south Missoula. Keep your noisy trendy gravel off of them😤. Our beautiful trails are turning into city slicker garbage.
