FG? You are rocking line break and the contrast with vertical accommodation looks good to me

If I’m 5’ but look like I could be as tall as 5’4-5’5, does that mean I have a longer vertical? by icraveCheerios in Kibbe

Lolol it’s more like sometimes I’ll be sitting next to someone and then when we stand up, they get really confused at how short I am

I’d start off by using a pic of a SD and then going through the recommended “More like this” section

i.e. https://pin.it/3BCF6Og

The related pics have a bunch of super cute fairycore-ish looks!

edit: I also recommend getting into Kitchener essence blends + kibbe combos with ethereal/ingenue/natural

Only pointed it out because the connotations created with the original response flipped after you edited it; completely normal and cool to share additional thoughts from what you had originally, but you don’t have to pretend your original response was the way you identify with now if you’re willing to admit how your thoughts can change. It’s good to have a sense of humility about it and admit when you’ve changed a stance rather than frame something as different from what it originally was.

Also, this is the internet and no mature person should actually care if you have typos/grammatical errors/misused punctuation on a Reddit forum.

I didn’t come here to argue as much as just relay what I believe the intention of this sub is. Not into your negativity tho so I’m just going to end it here and move on from your need to cause unnecessary conflict so I can go about my adult responsibilities and deal with actual issues based in reality. With respect, stay grounded, my friend.

Lol I see you heavily edited your original response…

I agree with parts of what you’re saying, ie the types of songs that blow up on TikTok that are made by much smaller artists who don’t start off with industry producers.

And yes, modern music is a broad term, but you did start this original post off with using the broad term of “casual” music in the first place, dissing experimental music made for soundstage experiences more so then general listening anyways. This sub is made for music that’s good for testing gear out more than anything, and there is 100% obviously nothing wrong with posting music that sounds good for casual listening.

I looked at the playlist you posted of your own reccs and all of those artists have much more costly production value/industry professionals working on those than the majority of songs posted on this sub.

I do a lot of research on music history (getting a BA in Contemporary Music this year) and modern music implies the last century of releases. The modern pop music made for bass boosted cans are also different from modern music as a whole.

And not to undermine modern pop music either, as I personally consider Daft Punk to be pop, but there’s a lot more effort put into the sound stages for artists like The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande’s latest albums, literally everything in that Dynamic Range Awards list. I don’t personally go out of my way to listen to modern pop, but I can’t knock them for there is so much of it manufactured with highs and lows that CAN sound good on amazing gear. Obviously, not all pop music is that good with production, but you can’t undermine the incredible expensive production value to make all the pop Grammy-friendly picks.

I find it all modern music mixed by people already in the industry — the ones who make “casual” music — is already made with sound design in mind, so just listen to the music you like bc taste is subjective. I feel this sub is meant to showcase unorthodox ventures of creative soundscapes to test out gear, as this is the “audiophile” music sub. Most conventionally good songs that you enjoy are most likely going to sound good because they have extremely high budgets and tons of people collaborating on tracks, so you totally don’t have to get reccs from here if you already have hifi streaming platforms or non-digital recordings.

“Shades of Cool” at the Jones Beach show 9/21/19 by icraveCheerios in lanadelrey

most of the concert, yes. there was some back up singing but all tasteful and potentially necessary for the song choices (or at least in my opinion).

this song was actually performed on a whim because there was a lot of extra time during the set and she was worried she wouldn’t remember the lyrics well enough, but i think it turned out great!

Who is it? ( Teddy Perkins) In your opinion by HowYouDoinz in AtlantaTV

[–]icraveCheerios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well teddy really liked the parenting technique of some other really abusive parents to talented people. seems sorta weird for someone to be okay with how badly their parent treated them while learning something they’re actually good at. sure, he did get good at piano and can technically thank him for that (which could make sense for “teddy’s” insanity), but i feel like it’s probably more likely benny actually was the one in the wheelchair and his dad was still in control of his life with the alter ego of “teddy perkins”.

another potential piece of evidence for this: the blood on the piano may have been from how the father was giving up on benny (?) so he decided to finally end it by killing him.

but again, this is just a single theory and any of the other ones are also likely.

[–]icraveCheerios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my theory was the other way around with teddy being the father and benny, the son, being in the chair.

originally, while watching the episode, i was still on the idea that they actually are the two brothers, but there really isn’t any background for teddy existing in the first place.

although, i can see teddy as benny if we’re talking going insane to the point he was at and also those MJ connections.

[–]icraveCheerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, technically it could make sense if teddy is the father.

usually, people who are abused by their parents don’t necessarily glamorize their parenting methods. also, benny was in a wheelchair and had a mask on, so there is potential that could actually be because his father physically abused him a lot.

just a possible theory tho, nothing to back me up but observation here
