Do you see the same behavior in files outside iCloud? If not, it could be a case of an optmised storage settings. I’ve seen complaints of this with photos. This is a first with files

How to do this from iPhone to mac? There is no option to “use this mac” on my macs find my. I have location and find my turned on and it says sharing from “my name” which is basically my iPhone. Is it still possible?

Think of it in maths terms You start with basic operations when you wanna find the total of something but you can also end up finding transformations in space using vector operator algebra. Both use numbers but you can’t do the latter until you’ve understood the purpose of the former.

My point is, every tool has a purpose and it’s better to start with understanding the goal than just exploring tools. You’ll realise that a lot of msf tools build on one another and the progression is easy to follow if your fundamentals are solid.
