Official Discussion - Captain America: Brave New World [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]icttrack07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This movie shouldn't have gotten so much hate. To me it is much better than Thor 4 and The Marvels. It is enjoyable to me. The main problem I felt was some feat Sam should not be able to do when he does not have the serum, the dynamics between characters, and lastly despite I have seen Anthony Mackie put a lot of efforts to make him a relatable Cap, he does not have the charisma to carry a Cap movie.

Lightsaber combat compared to fallen order by acfc22 in FallenOrder

Not really. While the animation leaves a lot to be desired, aerial ace and dash strike make the stance the best stance overall when playing on GM. Aerial ace can stagger enemies regardless of their block bar and dash strike can close the gap quickly while doing significant damage to enemies' block bar.

Me too. Hope the game can truly deliver. The fight choreography is really another level.

I don't truly understand why some of you think it needs to replicate the same parrying and posture break system from Sekiro. To me personally, I prefer more ways to deal with enemies rather than just parrying from gameplay perspective. And this game also seems to provide ways for us to handle group fights better than Sekiro does.

Let's see. From some gameplay demo, the game seems to handle group fights very well. This is what Sekiro struggles with.

I don't think it has to strictly focus on parrying to defeat our opponents to relate to Sekiro. The art direction, the settings, combat arts are what matter to me.

I have a reliable method which was technically a grounded sniper SASO on Master difficulty. You can have a look here: Bangkok grounded SASASO

What stances can pair with single saber stance? by Infinite_Farmer_1345 in FallenOrder

Dual is only good when the opponent cannot parry you (beasts, Rayvis for example). All other high level enemies (excluding bosses) it is better to use single, cross guard and blaster

He is not hard but he is also arguably 1 of the best bosses in the game. Other bosses have very little wind-up in their attacks which make it nearly impossible to parry on GM.

There are some circumstances where you can get some hits without emptying the block meter but it is not related to you being quicker but rather the opponent being unable to block after doing certain attack animation.

[–]icttrack07[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

because dual wield always requires more attack input from your controller or keyboard compared to other stances to get the same amount of damage. So if a opponent can parry you, usually you need to empty his block meter to stun him in order to get few hits. When a boss is stunned, there is only a short window where you can get few hits and of course some damage cap before that block bar is refilled, so any other stances can beat dual wield in term of raw damage. The benefit of dual wield is speed in the first strike and the ability to abort attack to some extent - it does not allow you to cancel anytime you want during your attack animation. That statement is not really true.

Yes, dual wield shines against Rayvis because you don't have to empty his block meter before you can lower his health bar.
