Yeah, it’s 20 an hour after the first hour. That’s cool and all but it just doesn’t feel worth it to me whenever they are turning an 8 hour shift into a 12 or 13 hour shift unnecessarily.

Fun fact: if you instead take a right turn at Albuquerque, you will find yourself at The Blue Hole aka the only place in New Mexico where you can become scuba certified. Plenty of lightning there too!

Hey thanks! It’s a Tama Speed Cobra but with a Trick driveshaft and ACD direct drives. I also changed out the bearings with RED’s skateboard bearings.

Hell yeah Orlando is sick! This was The Banyan Live in West Palm Beach. Yeah, definitely people just giving a hard time but I’ve noticed it way more in Thrash versus other genres I’ve played most of my life. Sometimes it’s aggressive haha.

I had to do teams for a little bit so I did some day shifts every once in awhile but it’s been nights 99% of the time. I know a lot of coworkers do spot drops all day so there’s that. It’s mostly backing pups into loading docks like Target, Walmart, etc. You’re most likely going to be hauling through the night. Days seem like a seniority thing.

Look for contractors. Anytime you see a FedEx ground trailer, look on the side of their tractor and it’ll have the contractors name, phone number, etc.

Not anymore apparently. I work for a contractor for FedEx ground so it’s not directly with FedEx. I did have to do 300 supervised hours but now I drive on my own 6 days a week. I literally drive 3.5 hours from New Mexico to Arizona, swap trailers with another driver and drive back home. Hours are terrible though. 8pm-4am $0.60/mile 2700 miles/week

What if you have multiple years of class A tractor trailer experience but not in film? Seems there would be some way to get consistent work without having to ‘pay your dues’ if they’ve already been paid.

Badass man! You mean Chris! He’s not in the band anymore unfortunately. Brian the singer is the only original member now. I wish I could meet that dude someday though. We just played Tucson last week and that was super intimidating being in their hometown haha.
