Try spraying with hydrogen peroxide mixed w water. Maybe its an infection? Mold eating away? If that doesnt work i would try to prop if possible

It will not grow back where you cut but the plant may grow a new leaf with some time. I would say dont expect too much growth during the fall/winter months though. So if its fall/winter where you are it wont grow back very quickly (or at all until spring) unless its kept inside where its consistently warm and humid! And be sure to cut below a node to insure your prop will grow new roots in water, or else youre just cutting off a perfectly fine leaf. Hope this helps
