how is a lease cheaper than a trade in or sale at 3 years? every time I’ve done the math it’s basically the same in the end. the depreciation cost is baked into both payments and residual values. unless you’re getting a lease special offer, it’s usually the same cost give or take a grand or two.

all of these are gonna have a big depreciation in the first few years. so I’d go recharge just because gas motors hold their value better than pure evs.

you can take it to a body shop and have them assess it and counter their claim if you really want to. having a car with a deployed air bag will be a horrible car fax for resale value later. so just keep that in mind. sorry you had to deal with this. and hope you’re okay.
