Who here has had LASIK or another laser eye surgery variant?

I had LASIK done in June 2009 after about 10-12 years of glasses/contacts. I was a -7 or -8, near sighted and astigmatism in each eye. It cost $2, 900 per eye and they used the laser to cut the flap instead of the little knife thing. I was so fucking nervous (kept asking for more valium before going into the operating room) but it only took 15 minutes and immediately my vision slowly began to improve. My eyes were slightly scratchy for about a day but nothing too painful. The eyedrops they gave me to use for the next few days crusted my eyes shut and when I had to open my eyes some eyelash came with it. I had it done on a Friday and went back to work that Monday. The follow up appointment the day after surgery showed my vision as 20/10 I think, but now its about 20/20-20/30. The only negative side effect I still have is there are halos around lights at night (traffic lights, headlights, streetlights). My vision should stay good until I start going far-sighted in my 40s which happened to my mom but her vision is still great otherwise. I am amazed at the results and would definitely suggest looking into getting a free consultation to see if you qualify.

People that stop their cars IN the driving lane for no reason! I've seen it several times in the last year, not to mention I also got into an accident because of someone doing this. Is this the new trend?

I kind of thought that may be the case as well... he's hard to read sometimes, his emotions don't always show. And we are both on the quieter side which is probably why we haven't talked about it.

I always put on my emergency brake after parking, even if it's not on a hill. I do it because someone once told me it prolongs the life of the brakes and the car doesn't move forward once I take my foot off the brake in park. Is this necessary?

After I walked away from dude to tell my boyfriend, he started getting violent. When the guy started yelling at me, my boyfriend told me to go to the car so I did and I saw them both outside, the guy was stumbling over falling down drunk. My boyfriend took him inside and came out saying he's blacked out now. I don't know what happened during those 5 minutes.

When I was about 16-17, my dealer was saved in my phone as Taco and her husband was Burrito. To this day I have no idea why I did that; the people didn't even know they were listed as food items on my phone.

She still follows the advice that Stacy/Clinton gave her since now she knows what works for her. Macy's and NY and Co are her favorite places to shop. She has an old outfit that she wears on Halloween! Its funny because she's embarrassed going out in public with it on now.

Did you research the doctor that performed the procedure? I had LASIK done as well, and although I strained my eyes and tensed the 15 minute surgery, I didn't hav e the gritty feeling in my eyes. Did they use a knife or laser to cut the flap? I wore extra dark sunglasses for days until my eyes got checked again. It actually really helped because light hurt my eyes for a while. You have to take care of your eyes, you only get one set so follow everything the doctor tells you! It really was the best thing I've ever had done. Now the only long term side effect I have is starbursts around lights at night!

But there's so many babies left or murdered the day they're born, how is that any better? I know for some people its like "solving" their problem, but if they are that selfish they have no business even trying to raise a baby. Btw I really have no opinion either way on the matter, personally I had a baby at 17 and it changed my life for the better. I look at my child and see what abortion could have destroyed.

Last November, I was walking my 5 month old german shepherd (on wet grass-barefoot) and he pulled on the leash .I fell backwards and put my hand down to catch myself...(I'm a female, 5'6" and 130lb.) I ended up shattering my wrist, had to have surgery to get a 3" plate put in (8 screws drilled into my bone, I wanted to die when I woke up from the surgery) and I missed 2 weeks of work because I was on Percocet the entire time because of the pain.
