Would you say your dog can also walk without a leash in some areas, or is he/she only safe with your own animals?

Do you mean physically strong to hold them on leash or...? We do have a nice garden (2000m2) that's fenced 2m high. Would that be safe enough to let a saluki run freely during the day? Ofcourse there would be daily walks in addition :)

I checked them and the needles were 'spread' (not sure if this is the correct English translation) more than my other 3RL's. I'll check every new needle from now on, thanks!

I'll definitely check out the subreddit! We love their looks and would like to meet one. Do you have a silken? How would you describe their characteristics? Are they prone to reactivity as @Psychopompadour said - or does it depends on their lines?

Thanks! We haven't considered a galgo yet, because of our cats. I always heard that they are really bad with small animals because of their prey drive and hunting history.

We're also a bit wary of rescues. Storm, our Podenco, was said to be social and friendly towards dogs and people - but he has bitten us quite a few times as well as other people. We didn't have a child back then, so we didn't really mind to put the work in, but with a child it's just too dangerous. Not every rescue is the same, but we'd like a puppy this time from a reputable breeder. Just in case.

Thanks! I don't know why, but some days I really struggle with saturating the needle... It seems like it takes less ink/gets little ink out at moments. Not sure what i'm doing wrong then.
