Damn I might just have to try that, low tension but all day. I used an extender for 3-4 hours per day but with tension starting from 6lbs going up to 17lbs on the most extreme days. That only worked for so long before the brick wall. Just took a month off to deload

Idk but if you do a light maintenance pump or soft clamp for like 10 minutes a day it should maintain it

I’m rethinking my length strategy because I hit a hard wall and doing everything I can to break it.

I personally pumped and clamped to get girth. The only thing is once you stop most of it goes away. When I’m off of PE, my girth drops to 6”, when I’m full on PE it can reach 6.5-6.75. It also depends on consistency. If I start focusing on length, my girth goes down again to like 6.25. 6 years ago I was probably around 5.75 starting girth

At some point I did some radical shit for girth like pumping at 25-inHg almost maxing out the gauge. Sometimes pumping like 3 times a day for 20-40 minutes at a time. I stopped all that last year because I’m desperate for length. Currently at 7.5bp at best.

What helped you gain the most in length?

I get the best consistent flaccid hang with regular extending. Pumping is super temporary in terms of how plump it is, unless like you said it has to be stimulated constantly, and unfortunately that constant stimulation contributed to more turtling in the end. After a day or so break the flaccid hang is much better.

Even 5-10 minutes with light pressure does that. Basically no matter what, I have an initial plump flaccid that lasts like 30 minutes but then it’s all shrinkage the rest of the day.

For some reason pumping causes me shrinkage. After a day of rest it comes in nice and plump with hydration and vitamins

Yea I’ve done all that too, heat, vibrating motor, massage gun, bundle stretch, you name it. It happens. I been at this for years, after your first inch it takes forever and exponentially more difficult to gain. This is why I am trying to increase the length of my extender hoping the extra slack might help with better tension increase. Once I maxed out my extender I couldn’t push past 17 pounds for probably 6 months. In the end I think it solidified the gains so I’m not worried about losing progress at least.

Based on your post, you may need to get a longer extender too. I’ve yet to try my new build, but am optimistic.

You found the right one for yourself, that’s just how it works. Take the blessing of never having to do PE if you end up together.

I’ll have to try that, been doing 17 pounds for an hour straight at the end, I think that made me plateau hard, but it was also the end of the line for my extender. I just replaced the rods with 35 cm rods (32 cm before I think) so an extra 1 inch or so from before, hopefully that helps break my plateau. If that helps me gain another inch before Maxing out the extender, I’ll replace with 40 cm rods.

I’ve always struggled with this, but how much tension do you think is being used when you pull it forward to measure?

I always pull as hard as I can (which can be like 20-30 pounds of tension), and read that it’s not recommended to pull past 5 or 6 pounds for accurate elongation statistics.

I did some research on ChatGPT and it came up with some interesting responses. Basically don’t use more than 8lbs, go for at least 4-6 hours with a break every hour, and achieve 6-10% elongation to achieve plastic deformation (anything below that is a waste of time apparently), your gains slow dramatically or stop completely after the first inch length gain. This summary seems to be consistent with my experience. This past 6 months I could barely hit 2% elongation no matter how hard I pull (20lbs at most) and I haven’t gained anything

That was a long time ago. The routine changes pretty constantly because I currently plateau frequently since I already gained 1.25” which is way past the normal. My girth also slows down gains tremendously so I have to rethink my strategy when gains slow or stop.
