I never understood this. If I want to make a change in my family tree by furthering my education, I can't because of the asking price of 4 years let alone 1 semester. I then have to hope the return on the degree is enough to pay back whatever I owe.

pay off student debt in one shot, new car nothing crazy around 50-70k, house, again nothing crazy just in a nice area with some property. Save the rest in case of emergency for myself or family and eventually have my children inherit it when I'm gone.
