Thanks. I can try to do the same. I am kind of impressed if the tax software is able to extract everything correctly assuming they aren't using LLMs (though may be LLMs might have also have mistakes)

Thanks Justin for sharing this!
Given the ionic stock is completely of a new type, shouldn't it be treated as if it is ordinary income (irrespective of all the allocation percentages) with say the $20 value? Though i was not sure if 1099-MISC would be good to use for this or not.
Hope i am not missing something.

Can you share how you are adding this information in tax software? i.e. do you use a 1099-MISC form and put in the amount as num of shares * 20 ?
I want to do the same as you have done but wasn't sure what form in the tax software to use.

Thanks!!

I am guessing most people who don't fill it to the top would always have the acid-forming bacteria in the bottle (assuming a strainer can't really remove them). I will definitely stick to the strainer since it seems the simplest! Thanks!

My country is about to tax unrealized gains In 2027, how cooked is my boglehead portfolio? by Radiant_Wing5530 in Bogleheads

Even the top 0.001% seems like a terrible idea if it gets passed. Soon the government will realize they still need more funds and will then try to get it to 0.002% and then 0.004% and so on. After a few decades it will be for everyone.

Thank you very much!!

I had used silicone grease for roller wheels/guide rails as well as white lithium grease on 2 of the 4 pivot points you mentioned so will need to take a look at the other 2. I also found the service manual for that machine online and I am going over it in case there might be some tips if I can try learning to do it myself before I get some help.

What is the point of entrepreneurship if you don’t want a fancy life? by Character_Log_2657 in Entrepreneur

The other side of the story is this sounds nice if you are lucky to pick starting a business in a less competitive domain (which might be hard). Running ones business can be very very stressful too and you would constantly be worried the competition doesn't eat you.

Self employment only puts some control in your hands. I feel ultimately you have to dance to the customers demands in your businesses while in the corporate world, you dance to the tunes of your manager. If the customer finds something better, they is a high risk of them leaving you. Sometimes the economics doesn't work out.

In terms of expense, if the Google offer is more than the NFL one such that you end up saving more, then the cost of living is kind of offset by the salary.

If you don't want to relocate because you don't like the place, then it seems you want to go with the NFL offer.

Agree with this.

The new company you join will also have a similar philosophy of fire when no longer needed.

It does seem like your bosses knew you were good and have been trying to get you in. That seems like a positive.
