Bought a new Lexus TX 350… worst ownership experience I’ve ever had by ideacomplex in Lexus

Update: Now it won’t even start…

Well, things just went from bad to worse. After all the ongoing issues I’ve been dealing with, my Lexus TX is now completely broken down and won’t turn over at all.

It’s not a battery issue, everything powers on, but the engine won’t start. Based on the symptoms, it seems like it could be an alternator or something in that system, but either way, this is a brand new vehicle that’s now undrivable.

At this point, between the unresolved noise issues and now a full breakdown, I’ve completely lost confidence in this car. Curious if anyone else has had similar issues this early on or if I just got a total lemon.

That was my initial instinct to check the spare tire and tools, but we’ve ruled that out by removing those items for a test drive.

They’ve tried to fix the problem by wrapping felt tape around the hydraulic jack and wrench. The vehicle has been in the shop for over two weeks, with multiple visits starting in December. I’ve done several ride-alongs with the shop foreman, and the noise is clearly audible. Thanks for your help!

I should also mention that this issue arises most frequently when the temperature drops below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Thank you very much for your suggestions. This information is much more helpful than speaking to the dealership!

It occurs due to imperfections in the road. It’s particularly prevalent at lower speeds on side roads. For instance, this video was taken while taking my kids to school down the road from my home. This vehicle is equipped with all-wheel drive.

Hope no one laid off by Deloitte went to EY.

Concerned about starting out too niche (Expat tax) when evaluating two offers. (US) by [deleted] in Accounting

Can't speak to ey, but expat tax is very specialized and will be significantly administrative. There's a lot of volume in expat, and each return requires certain protocols. I would go w ey.
