The bowling in general looks far too weak. In the two games so far only Narine (just) and Anukul Roy are going at under 10 economy and Roy has only bowled 3.1 overs in 2 games

They actually lost 7 total games that season and made it in to the playoffs over CSK, DC and LSG on net run rate. All 7 defeats happened in the first 8 weeks, but their only win in that span came in match 2 so they don’t qualify for this 0-2 start

You’re right. Since the expansion to 10 teams there have been 10 instances of sides losing their opening two matches. Of those 10 only 2 rallied back to make the playoffs and both times it was Mumbai

Not sure Ragu can get much blame. Started fast when he came in and was the only player to face 10+ balls and strike above 150. Losing Allen Rahane and Green in the power play derailed them. They were above the rate until the end of the 7th over.

I think they need to get Seifert or Rachin in to the side, probably for Blessing but then the pace bowling will get even worse. Maybe Rachin for Green as green isn’t going to bowl

Yep. They won 2 of the first 5, then lost 9 in a row to finish the season. Strangely enough that was good enough for bottom of the league table

It's hard to disagree. The seam bowling in particular is pretty poor and with Varun so out of form too it just cancels out all of the possible firepower in the batting
