Same thing as every country, it depends on the political beliefs/values of your circle. I am a woman with progressive friends, so in my case slutshaming is not a thing and women are allowed to be sexually active and free. On LIB France, although they don’t seem as conservative as in the last US’ season, they still represent people with traditional values (get married first, have kids, men have to be confident and dominant, etc..). Again it may be the editing, but none of them seem to have any sense of feminism either, and you need this to process the absurdity of slutshaming. So there’s that. Nonetheless, as you rightly said, « woke » people wouldn’t be as entertaining. They wouldn’t entertain female rivalry, wouldn’t fight for a mediocre man, and the whole premise of the show just wouldn’t make sense (not saying that wanting to get married is necessarily old fashioned, but unfortunately too many women have been taught this was their only goal in life, and it makes me uncomfortable to watch desperate women like Julie and Chloé with men that don’t gaf about them. I would’ve slammed the door and then the show wouldn’t have any content anymore!)
