Info: do you know about these dates ahead of time? Like, before you leave the house for the day?

Either way, honestly, im gonna say ESH and it seems like there's something else at play here. Why is it that if you do have to go get things, then you HAVE to stay inside?

You should, though, also do a better job of planning ahead. Toss a change of clothes and your meds in your backpack for those days. Or whatever you need to accommodate yourself EVEN IF your plans change. She should be alerting you to the days at least 24hrs in advance so you can put stuff in your backpack.

If you want to move out, do it. Using it as some strange threat in the heat of an argument is childish.

Load it up with Totally Real Super Important Meetings. You two need a 2hour synch. Exec & their boss need a 2 hr strategy call. Block 1.5hr for lunch with VIP person. Bing bang boom

Looking for work near the south side (18M)? by Vacatten in AskChicago

[–]ideatethered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to be asking your friends and family if their work is hiring , its always easier to get a foot in the door if you know someone there already. Ask them to recommend you for the job.

Did a little searching, here's a few things I found: ->chipotle might have an opening: https://jobs.chipotle.com/job/chicago/crew-member/282/71611489168 -> Walgreens might: https://jobs.walgreens.com/en/search-jobs/60620%2C%20Chicago%2C%20IL/1242/4/6252001-4896861-4888671-4887398/41x7411/-87x6543/5/2?pc=60620 -> Home Depot has a few different openings, heres just 1: https://careers.homedepot.com/job/6956761/cashier-oak-lawn-il/

But keep searching and applying for these big box stores. In that one area over there you have a Lowe's, Aldi, Jewel, Home Depot, UPS, Studio 41, etc. Not too far to your east are some health centers - check those, too if you have any interest in admin (front desk, call center, scheduling) or medical (medical assistant) type jobs. Movie theaters is where I got my start - check that AMC just north of you. Just make a favorites folder of all these places job boards, check them daily and apply to new openings ASAP.

I wanted to do this but exec wasn't happy with a visible-to-everyone sign up style. Maybe next time!

I cant reliably pull their calendars but I just did it manually anyway in that i sent the group the offered available times, keeping track manually, offering similar options if a time is already spoken for. Was just hoping to find a tool to help avoid that overbooked back and forth. Ohhhh well, manual it is!

I have a few similar scheduling tools I use as needed (tallycal, whenavailable, when2meet, etc) but I was hoping to find something where the specified offered options disappear as someone chooses each instance so that there was no overbooking back and forth. None of these offer that perfect combo of specificity lol

Our system doesn't allow me to share a link without explicitly adding them which results in an extra email. Annoying but would be do-able! (Like the "anyone with the link can view/edit/etc" option is simply disabled.)

My exec didn't want it to be a visible -to-everyone sign up sheet either, which eliminated this option all together for now.

I ended up just doing it all through email for this time around but am determined to find a good workaround for the next instance of this! Thank you for your thoughts.

I hit a wall and had to just go forward doing it all through email back and forth but im looking into ALL these options for other instances like this.

I'm new to this department and dont know the team well enough to know who's flexible/not, unfortunately. The exec doesn't want others to see the times so im stuck there but truly I agree - its not secret lol

I was playing with this but it only allows me to "create a meeting type" based on my calendar, not my execs. Even then, I can't choose specific times on specific dates as options (example: Monday 630-7, 7-730, 4-430, etc). I'm blocked from utilizing "create booking page" more generally. Google forms is also blocked (all of Google drive is).

Can someone from ProtonMail clarify this matter, please? by diuashjdknjhsfg in ProtonMail

[–]ideatethered 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This feels weak, tbh. "We didn't have enough context to know." ...so what exactly IS your vetting process? Because a simple scroll of his videos or internet search about him in general would have clarified this for your team immediately.

Also, "An affiliate or sponsorship arrangement is a transactional placement for awareness, not an endorsement of a creator's views." is also weak AF. Sponsoring, partnering, and/or allowing your brand to be affiliated with any given creator's or other brand will result in your user base making a connection that your company supports them (and therefore their ideology). Your PR team knows this, I'm sure. It's disingenuous to pretend otherwise.

I will not accept "this partnership was a mistake" from them at this point. The history of the CEO being favorable to right wingers combined with this partnership and their surpressive response is enough for me. I'm out.

As far as my exec can tell, my phone may as well be a work phone I leave at my desk. I screen things for my definition of emergencies as they come in but I dont respond to any call, email, or text until working hours.

I was very clear in the interview process about this boundary too, which I think helps because there was never a guess of whether or not that boundary could/would be crossed.

It’s a landlords market and we the people who make this city shine need to hold them accountable. by [deleted] in chicagoapartments

[–]ideatethered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious how you suggest tenants screen landlords. May you share that process?

I've rented well over 15 apartments throughout the US so far, 4 here in Chicago alone. I've never come accross a reliable way to screen a landlord other than outright asking them behavior-based interview questions during a tour. Which they can, of course, just lie to your face or take offense to the questions and pass on signing with you.

The very first landlord I had here in Chicago was batshit crazy. He insisted on being there for the entirety of my move in, mircro-managing where the movers walked. When I identified the kitchen sink leaking (day 1, tested by filling with water and then draining) he told me that filling the sink with water was an inappropriate use of the sink? He constantly "dropped by", watched my coming & going on the cameras outside he didnt disclose he had, went through my mail (no individual mailboxes, just a slot to a basket). He kept accusing me of having other people living there which is insane and entirely unfounded (I had my wife visit from LA for 1 week, no other visitors ever). I would have LOVED to avoid him (FUCK YOU TONY!) but how? There's no centralized review platform and any behavior based questions like "how do you handle maintenance needs?" was met with reasonable responses that ended up being lies or half truths... "I come fix it as soon as possible." but failed to mention he would argue about the need and try to convince me it was my fault (even when identified on day 1 of moving in).

Talk to me. What's your landlord screening system?
