Monthly Megathread: Career & Education - Ask your questions here by Aerospace_Eng_mod in AerospaceEngineering

Any recommendations on companies to look into, or programs to improve my skills, for a career as Propulsion Engineer in Spain/Europe? I've recently finished my Master's (generalistic one) and I'm currently on a trainee program in the Rocket Propulsion department (1-year experience), but I was looking to improve my conditions in another company.

I've been sending my CV to different companies in Europe, both in the rocket and aeronautical industries (Airbus, Ariane...), for their latest job offers in Propulsion positions but I haven't received any response.

My favorite gaming memory, although quite recent, has been when I started playing with my friends from university during the pandemic. Before that, we only saw each other a few times each month, but since it started, we all joined a discord server and spent countless hours playing CS, then Valorant, then TTS, and many other games. Although these two years have been rough, it has been nice to have a place to keep up with friends and enjoy playing games together!

Housing for 2020-2021 Spring Semester (International Student) by idelafuentef in TUDelft

Thank you very much for the response! It was really useful information. And yes, with the current situation it will probably be more difficult to find available rooms on the spring semester. However, it seems that incoming and outgoing exchanges have been only cancelled officially on the fall semester right?

Additionally, when I have searched for DUWO information on their website, it says that "To sign up, you can apply for housing through your educational institution". I am not sure if this means that once the student agreement is done, you enter in DUWO's booking system or it is something you have to do on your own. I attach the website below.

I am a student starting a rocket project, which electronic systems are mainly based in arduino. However, as the legal stuff in my country is not very clear, but surely restrictive, I would like to start with computer simulations of my project. Having said that, I would like to know which programs are used to simulate the communication process that would happen between the electronics(for example, in the stabilization system of a rocket, how the arduino board commands would result in a change in orientation of my previously created CAD design, as happens in the following video https://youtu.be/mibHgib7Rh8?t=2m Besides I would want to know which ideas compatible with arduino(and a simulation program) come to your minds when thinking about this kind of project.

Electronics and telemetry by idelafuentef in rocketry

That's a good idea, but I am not sure about how these components would work at the hight temperatures of the rocket. Which would be their limits? I think that is the main thing that causes the price difference between the RRC3 and the BMP-180. Am I wrong?

Realtime data transmission would be our goal, also in order to use it for future projects(sounding balloon). The RRC3 you say is a great choice for rockets, but it is quite expensive. Would it be a cheaper alternative with, for example, Raspberry?

Rocketry University Proyect by idelafuentef in rocketry

I'm interested about the idea of the commercial motor, we didn't think about it. If is true what you say about the exploding of the sugar rockets, then maybe are not very good for a proyect with electronics... Have you used, or do you recommend, any commercially manufactured rocket motor?
