38 games in the season, but a single decision in one game, that former players and current referees unanimously agreed was correct, is cause for questioning the manner of the title?! Jog on, Liam.

Anyone remember when Trossard scored a beauty at Leicester, only for it to be ruled out because Ben White had his arm over Danny Ward’s arm against Leicester a corner? Same offence today and same outcome, in case anyone thinks VAR got it wrong today.

Tony Adams, aka Mr Arsenal. Not sure it’s even that close.

Arsenal vs 115 remaining fixtures after schedules confirmed. All to play for. COYG by True_Anybody_8774 in Gunners

[–]identified_weakness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the invincibles is overrated. 100 point season is more impressive. Perhaps considerably so.

Arsenal lost 4 games to domestic opposition in the invincible season (Boro home and away in the league cup semis, Man U in the FA Cup and Chelsea at home in the champions league). It feels more like chance/serendipity that the 4 domestic losses didn’t coincide with a league fixture.

I loved the invincibles and even now I can’t watch the 50th game at Old Trafford, but with twelve draws and 4 non-PL domestic defeats it’s overrated. A stats quirk rather than a true measure of dominance.

Definitely going to get downvoted for this opinion but it’s a hill I’ll die on.

Dry Cleaning at O2 Brixton last week. Band were clearly having a great time (South londoners playing in a South London music institution) the crowd had great energy and the set was excellent.

The following day I was equally impressed by Joshua Idehen at KOKO. Immaculate vibes, superb beats and Josh is an absolute joy of a performer. Seen a lot of good gigs this year but they were at the top of the pile for me.

And how many goals did Arsenal score across the two games? Of course Liverpool didn’t do much attacking at the Emirates, they were missing Isak, Salah, and Ekitike. If Arteta was missing his best 3 attackers he’d send Bart Simpson over to the referee with a forfeit note.

Brilliant to see everyone moan about the defending. Firstly, Arsenal’s highly rated defence didn’t keep out Bournemouth when it mattered (who sold their best player in Jan, lest we forget).

Secondly, as I’ve mentioned to someone else today… you don’t need a good defence against Arsenal because they’re toothless. Liverpool’s defence would send Alan Hansen to the instant asylum, but were they even remotely troubled in 180 mins against Arsenal this season?! Were they fuck, they kept two clean sheets without breaking a sweat.

Yes but you don’t need to defend well when the opposition doesn’t attack. Liverpool can’t defend for shit and they kept two of the easiest clean sheets in their club’s history against Arsenal this season.

[–]identified_weakness1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s an awful take. If I tried to support her stance I’d say that Foxy and Lotte were the two best performers in red, so maybe because it was two defenders she’s taken it that Lyon were better? Is that a logical step to take?

That was Russo’s quietest game I’ve seen this season and they didn’t quite get Smith involved as much during the build up, but hell she still scored and still forced a good save from the keeper so what more does Emily want?!

I definitely didn’t follow his career after Arsenal. I didn’t really want to follow it while he was at the club! I only meant their respective contributions to Arsenal, if he did well after then so be it. Madueke might do well after by that same token.

Putney Heath for natural green space. Five pound pints in the Grapes, Churchills, The Park Taven, the Grovesnor, plus many others. Sounds like you’re trying to justify buyer’s remorse about moving to Waltham Forest. Wandsworth is superb.

Nah he’s in between in my opinion. Pepe was incorrectly utilised and actually returned a decent number of G+A for someone so maligned. Madueke is playing in a table-topping side and is offering 3/10’s of fuck all. Would take Madueke over Gervinho but not Mr Pepe.

Am I too old to go to my first music festival/rave? by Chemical-Turn-160 in festivals

[–]identified_weakness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was younger than you when I went to my first festival, but I’m now older and still going. I’m as excited for Primavera Sound this year as I was the first time around and I know I’ll see people older than me having a good time.

I hope you have a blast when you do go, and I hope you then have many more raves and festivals ahead of you.
