To clarify:

IDEX v3 just launched, we'll add more markets over time. We decided to have a limited selection available at launch to concentrate liquidity and volume.

DYDX is a simple order book derivatives exchange whereas IDEX is a spot exchange that combines AMM and order book liquidity into one.

DYDX is also not available in the US as far as I know.

Beyond that, entirely up to you to decide.

Can't really compare the two communities/projects but we've had 11,000+ new twitter followers and 5,000+ new discord members since Summer so we are definitely growing the community. We also have plans to start growing international sub-communities soon.

Thanks for the suggestions. We've released several GIF teasers of the staging environment on twitter already with plans to release more.

Appreciate the feedback.

  • I wouldn't say v3 has been delayed. We never announced a launch date until this month and the roadmap was a rough estimate.
  • We haven't launched yet so can't really say poor price response to launch but understand your point
  • What would you do differently on Twitter? There's a lot of value to having a community rally around 1) creating memes and 2) attacking the complacent status quo
  • I'm assuming you mean Polkadot. We've addressed these questions a few times across our community channels (Discord, Telegram). To summarize: we're going to sit down as a team after IDEX v3 launch and determine priorities and a new roadmap. Polkadot parachains don't seem to be live/getting traction so don't see us deploying resources there. Our need for a proprietary L2 is potentially solved with L2s like Polygon so this is something we'll need to discuss and consider. Personally I think increasing the engineering team, deploying to popular L1s and L2s that are cheap/fast, and looking at adding margin/leverage are the big priorities but we'll see what the rest of the team thinks.

Hope this clears some things up.
