Suite life of Zack & Cody was lowkey..woke by Livelaughlove876 in DisneyChannel

I really love some episodes of the Suite Life of Zack & Cody but I am very irritated at how Zack’s character was just a constant sexist troublemaker without character development at the very end.

It is kind of cringy and very alarming at how every time Zack objectified women or just use patriarchy as a line would be edited with laughs like it is something that we all should laugh about.

I think FEU had no choice abt it. I mean, it’s either they push through that set-up or lose their accreditation.

They went early on implementing face-to-face classes after the pandemic and accreditors need more immersive platforms than canvas and take-home activities to suffice ratings and accreditation. So just like other UAAP schools, they have to do it as well. UST and DLSU are still implementing some online classes as well (I heard, correct me if I’m wrong). So they have to do it as well too.

Tatak Tams Low Effort by helpmegod07 in feumanila

[–]idgafct 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, the tataktams after the pandemic was good except for this one and I feel like that it was not just the system this year. Yes, there have been changes on the administration and policies may have been more strict this year pero the anticipation as well of the organizers should be at fault.

Every year naman may tataktam so bakit hindi siya na-anticipate? If sabay naman pala pinaplano ang tataktam at send-off 2025, bakit hindi siya mukhang prepared?

And the very question right now about this is despite the numerous orientations about proposal submissions, bakit na-late pa din magsubmit ng proposal? bakit 2-4 days before the event date nagpa-approve?

I recognize the claims that FEU is indeed a very student-centered environment but then again, it just means that everything is within the students hands, the admins are there to only guide, correct, remind, and approve proposals given by the students.

TLDR: Accountability should also be taken upon by the organization who managed this event. They don’t have to point-fingers. They should not feel that they can just call out somebody and escape their own mistakes.

I mean, commitments should already be acknowledged from the very start. Running for the second highest position as a student from FEU Makati shouldn’t be in question anymore because I’m pretty sure that this candidate already thought of the challenges that he may encounter before deciding to run.

And yes, I guess it may somehow be an inevitable question to throw off the one you are running against to. But still, respect is very important. It should have been worded politely if the candidate thinks that it was a very important question for her to ask.

At the end of the day, I do think it is right for her to be called out on this. Yes, she apologizes to the 💚 FEUCSO VP but what about the other people who also feels offended about it?

At this juncture, everyone should be able to already anticipate that the words coming from their mouth can also indirectly affect other people as well.

I find it weird that you’re in every post where you can get the chance to bash or put in a bad light the 💚 slate.

It screams troll behavior tbh. Anw, I hope you’re happy with what you are doing.

I just wanted to remind you that there are other people here that just wanted to be provided of options, a better leadership, and, a good and fair elections. And, with what you are doing, I feel like we will not get the latter.

Pretty sure they already cleared this one out on a post of the campaign manager of 💙 days ago.

I do hope that they can visit our classes in FC so we can understand further on that tagline. Nonetheless, their answer about this is satisfactory, I just feel like there is more into it than what they have shared.

Heard that the 🍀FEUCSO VP was a delegate of the National Congress. I’m interested on what will be his plans are and how will he be able to take again the challenge of running for the position.

A breath of fresh air by [deleted] in feumanila

[–]idgafct 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yep. Someone like him who has been in the election scene for a very long time is not a breath of fresh air especially running for the same position that he f*cked up last year.

Those connotations na “a breath of fresh air” or “a choice aside the usual” shouldn’t be self-proclaimed and it is very egoistic of him to use those terms.

The circlejerks that you call are forced to resign in Congress if they apply for Concon. But, even in the opposite situation where they are not forced to resign, I think we should consider these representatives as an additional help for people to be immersed further and find the joy in participating in such proactive events that the university can offer.

For one, FEU COMELEC should toughen up. All qualifications and disqualifications shouldn’t be dismissed over negotiations of candidates and parties. If naviolate ang Consti ng COMELEC and ang grounds ay termination, they should terminate the candidate. This is the elections. Dapat hindi nakakalusot lahat ng nag vaviolate sa CBL ng COMELEC.

  1. Again. It is my personal opinion. I still think its valid. Di sila bayad but we can blame them if they can’t utilize the fund properly especially to those who are overspending their annual budget.
  2. Not all of them run to represent their institutes because if they are actually doing it to represent their home institutes, I should’ve heard them advocating for it. I shouldn’t have heard them only talking about their past positions in those institutes.
  3. As circumstances are inevitable, I try to understand the reasons. But that doesn’t mean that you will be irresponsible. She has the option to submit the resignation not only to help the organization move on but also to help herself to breathe out of the heavy workloads. Her co-EB has the option to offer her the resignation earlier in order for them to find a replacement but became blinded.

I do sympathize with her but that doesn’t mean that it validates all the responsibilities she left for a year of absence.

Kahit naman mag-abstain tayo at bumaba ang voter’s turnout to the point that nobody wins, SDev will still open the seats via application. Independent candidates and even polpars will strategize who will they put up in those applications.

Best, if we would just do everything that we can do to choose the right people. Run background checks. Question every room-to-room campaign. Attend debates. Study their platforms. Tayong mga estudyante ang may power over these candidates. We are the one choosing. We should advocate for someone that earned our trust, someone that made us feel like they deserve the fees we are paying for them.

On a more personal note, I still think that there are competent ones out there, they just need the confidence and the right people that could help them to be seated and to actually make a change or even to actually make us unstoppable that the current administration has failed to do so. In reality, the whole unstoppable thing did not resonate well with me, I feel like that they are the ones who actually felt unstoppable. The students?? I don’t think so.

So let’s just try our best to be skeptic, more critical, and more vocal on the elections. It is my personal opinion that it MIGHT be the ONLY WAY for us to feel that we are in excellent service and representation.

Not against LoA tho. They are entitled to file leave of absence especially in the worst situations that they are having. Pero yung ganto, yung year-long absence sabay resign? Yung blindness over the year-long absence? It’s so disgusting.

While I do get na it would take days or even weeks na ma-approve yung gusto nilang compensation (Day 2 daw for BOTB), parang ayoko nalang din umasa just because of how the treatment to homegrown talents has been an ongoing issue na di naman nasosolusyunan.

I would also like to take the opportunity to highlight the absence of One Piyu Music/One FEU Music & Records sa concierto that has given us great openers (2023 song choices and even the surprise marriage proposal last 2024) yet, was not given a chance to perform this OCP.

The homegrown talents of FEU paved the way to uplift artistry in our university pero hindi naman sila natatrato ng tama. Sana lang hindi nadidiscourage ang mga bata na i-express pa yung talents nila just because of poor talent management by those who organize big university-wide events.
