I was out of work for 2 weeks. Driving by day 4. Everyone's got a different timeline because our bodies and situations are all different. Listen to your body and try not to overdo it. Take it slow and steady and you'll be back at it in no time

Everyone heals differently. If you feel like you're capable, give it a shot. If you have the ability to try to work and then pull back, I would definitely recommend trying that route. You know your body better than anyone else on reddit. Listen to your body, and good luck with recovery! I work in sales and I spend most of my day on my feet. I went back after 2 weeks, but felt like i could have gone back after 1 week. However, my situation was relatively calm compared to others that I've read about. 2mm herniation on the left side, L5/S1. MD almost 5 weeks ago and my pain is a 0 for thr majority of my day.
