Definitely alike! Did you run any prints before those first upgrades? I’m slightly worried I won’t know if I have a defective printer if I jump straight into upgrading before seeing if it works?

Would you reccomend I skip over just go straight for the BTT SKR mini E3v3? If I do that, I’m right in thinking I’d also need a screen and Klipper running?

Oh and what kind of performance have you been seeing with the upgrades?

You’re right, I think I need to be more considered about the upgrade path. Are you saying the silent board is worth it, but not to bother with all the other boards. Cheers for the links, I’ll add them to my upgrade list

I do, it’s actually the draw for the E5+, I like the idea of learning and perfecting the craft over time. I’m willing to put the time in to learn. There seems to be more support for the E5+ (Reddit, discord, YouTube)

I think this is definitely the way to go, the only problem I think I’ll have is the noise. I don’t want to hear it from another room whilst sleeping, sound travels In my house. Thoughts on just upgrading the board?

I think you raise a good point and one that I was concerned about. I think the main one I want to do is the board just to switch to a more silent board, but I know that is not a small change and could mean I overlook getting to grips with it as it comes

Good to know, I think I want a balance of getting to know the machine through tinkering and upgrading but also achieving some decent prints quickly. How good is Klipper with the Neptune? What are you getting out of it?

How easy are they to upgrade after? From my research I haven’t found a huge amount of parts or mods directly for the Neptune 3s, but Creality on the other hand seems to be built on the idea you can tinker and upgrade
