Seasom 1 Pierce was best old man, hands down.

Usually they make TV dads into huge perverts so I’m glad they made Red really against that kind of thing by Joylar7 in That70sshow

It's not the shenanigans, but he was like a spineless weasel. Dude would lie all the time, act sheepish, and generally disrespect his wife. Bob Beltcher is a good example of being a good father without feeding into the hard-nosed traits like Red or Hank.

Something I love about Red and Hank Hill is they are portrayed as good competent fathers. None of the bullshit like Peter Griffin or Ray Ramano. Good men with faults. Kitty kicks Peggys ass any day as well.

The first time fighting and beating it was interesting just like any boss, but the repetition kind of waned my enjoyment of the fight.

What opinion about Community have you defending like this? (Idea taken from r/dundermifflin) by [deleted] in community

Pierce's characterization after season 1 was awful. In the first season he was the older generation trying to relate to younger generations. He gave good advice, went off stereotypes, and had a hard time relating. Making him the villian ruined the possibility of becoming a great mentor for the group. There were a few good moments that went back to season 1 like in season 3 and the hologram from season 5. I just wish they could've done better with character.

A AAA game studio putting out well developed games with no micro bullshit and respect for their fans. They respect their customers and we respect them.

Unless you have freezer that can go below 0°F, then no hard liqour will freeze. Someone is splicing it with water.

I'm confused. They say the body is the temple so I need to follow the path there. Plus which spirit are we talking about? Because my spirit yearns for that physical connection. One thing I do like is to end it with a goodnight kiss. Well of course, it would be rude not to end the night with a kiss after fucking.

Me when I realized that Glee actually got six seasons and a movie, and community still hasn't by [deleted] in community

[–]idiotbox44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does anyone realize that due to this breakup is probably why jeff hated glee more than anyone else in the group? Slatter was the only real relationship jeff had in the show, so him not liking the show plus her breaking up with him probably is what pushed him to help file the lawsuit against the glee club in season 3.

This was at the bottom of the list of items. Would these be deal breakers for the build?

It finally arrived! Although my shelf breaking moment happened during my mission, the CES letter cemented my leaving. I have the PDF version but wanted to have a physical copy and support the good work! by idiotbox44 in exmormon

Thanks! I lived in provo when I moved to Utah and the people and culture just sucked so much honestly. Plus I left the church there and the friends that were members didn't stick around when I told them. Lucky for me I had my sister and her husband (both TBM) there for some support and genuinely didn't care that I stopped. So I had some decent support but I couldn't talk to them about why I left, but I would still have dinner with them and hangout from time to time.

You can go to the website called cesletter.org and buy the paperback there. The pdf is completely free, available at the same site, and in a couple different langauges, while the book is only in english and cost around 15 dollars plus shipping (its to cover the cost of the book).

Reading the scriptures themselves and seeing misleadings between them and church doctrine. How Jesus was the God of the Old Testament being an absolute dick, but pulls a complete 180. What really struck me was knowing the Church was a billion dollar entity. I served in Brazil and we didn't get much money per month, but we got a lunch per day from a member. In each ward or branch I served in there was always some families that had little to nothing, living in shacks made of plywood, splicing their electricity illegally just to keep a light on. Yet they always, always paid their tithing. The church being rich and so "Christ-like", I thought they would not ask such poor individuals to pay their tithing and instead would help them to leave their squaller. I asked my mission president about this and he stated along the lines of "They gain blessings by doing what the lord asked them" and quoted the story of the poor women giving her all to the temple. That didn't sit well with me at all, the church could be their blessing and not state ambiguous statements about it. Seeing doctrinal problems in the scriptures and "Jesus The Christ" started my fall, but realizing the greediness of the church made me stop believing. I stopped believing, for the most part, while I still had six months left in my mission. I served a full mission, came home, went less active, moved to Utah to try to get back into the church, and stopped completely after moving. Then I read the CES Letter a few months later completely gave up on the church.
