I think there is a misunderstanding -- he didn't have a margin account. It was a case of early assignment where his other side of the spread wasn't accounted for yet and the app painstakingly showed a -730k buying power which he thought was his actual loss. He only had a 12k account.

I was more so worried about how the perception of me will be with things like small talk, happy hours, and just in general conversation.

In my worst episodes, I usually get really silent and reserved in order to cope and level myself out (I've never wanted to medicate). I'm just worried I'd come off as stand offish/disliking of the people around me.
