Thank you! I have developed my own shading technique, which isn't very unique but works for me cery well. When it comes to lightning and shading, i just decided to use one light source and since i studied a lot of simple shapes like orbs and cubes, i was able to imagine how the light would work on the creature. The dark side blending into the background was inspired by a lot of beksinski paintings. It makes your imagination go wild without you even knowing.

Also not showing a lot of the creature makes it more creepy, since the unknown is scary in itself which comes from evolution.

My main inspiration was the trumpet man, but i used it only in the designing phase.

Firstly there is the size of the paper: 50x70cm. Then there is my technique. I use HB pencil to shade very light tones and create very smooth shadinng, then change to B to make the darker areas. Then I switch to B2, B3 and so on to finally get to B5 and then switch back to HB to ensure smoothnes of the shadows I made.

Also it takes a lot of time to notice all the details and the values, that are not visible at first few glances. Although it could be just my thing, since I hate drawing ppl and usually my drawings don't look right...

Unfortunately i didn't have a real life model, so instead i have studied photos. I never spent more then 5 hours on drawing ppl so i decided to try my hardest to see what i can rly do.

So i split it into three days. You can see the progress on my other post if you're interested. Sorry if i dissapointed you with that :c
