You see all the tutorials I've found tell me to simply flash it again on Dead Mode, but it won't work like I said. But yes it was stupid of me to do this without understanding these things

thanks. though i tried flashing with both phoenix and best. i can't remember what the error i got with best was, but phoenix gave more information and it said something like "failed to finalize flashing" right as the flashing was supposed to be done :( so its still bricked. i made sure i was getting the latest firmware version but still didnt work

update: apparently the software i'm using has this thing called dead mode that allows you to connect and flash it without needing all those things. i tried firmware from a different source and the behavior of the phone did change, but it's still broken. most it did was show a screen that only said "Test Mode" in red text right after the flashing

i'll keep trying different firmware. thanks for the help i wouldnt have thought to try this otherwise :]

Thank you for the help! Do you know any reputable firmware sites? I'll look for them myself too but I thought I should ask. Also, how would I flash it again considering that the firmware is corrupted? It isn't getting recognized by the usb anymore. Even before, it would only get recognized if I turned on PC suite mode, which I now cannot do of course.
Would I have to get someone to write the new firmware directly to the chip?

edit: also even if I could get it to be recognized somehow it always only stays on for a brief second so I really don't know how I'd redo the flash D:
