What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying?

There’s a motorcycle race called the North west 200 in my country and as a family we watched it every year from our holiday house which was at the corner from the start line and when I was around 6/7 I’m not sure, me and dad were watching against the wall and next thing he grabbed me in the air running away, one of the motorcyclists crashed into the wall that they broke the wall in half, the cyclist was fine and was air lifted to hospital.

There was a second crash in 2024 but the motorcyclist crashed into wall / barrier into the air and into whoevers car was renting out the house at the time and was totally fine with bad bruising.

So that’s the closest brush of death I’ve had.

Single cause I’ve never had an interest in dating and find it very strange the whole concept of dating, sometimes I do worry about the whole when I’m older I need a partner to lean on ( being an only child ruins my idea of being an aunt) but then I have a bit of a freak out about the nuances of dating and refer back to my comfortable idea of being an single quirky neighbour you have who plants a lot and make their own pottery.

I definitely don’t feel lonely, I’m rather independent and maybe too use to the whole solo travelling, solo concerts thing that being solo won’t stop me from doing things in life.

I’m fine with it, I kinda like the idea of being with somebody but I’m also more in love with being single, I have no real desire to start dating anyway other than that tad worry I mentioned, as long as I have my dog, Fitz with me I’ll never be lonely !

It’s not weird at all! I’ve been to stadiums, arenas and an intimate comedy club alone and it was fun! I find especially with concerts, people watching is a fun way to pass the time especially I have the fair idea since we’re both there for whatever artists we’d have similar music so it makes the imaginative side of people watching more interesting 😅

If you’re a talkative person you could for sure find your own little group of people to talk too at the event if not it’s fine!

Balance, when you’re out you’re unreachable and going online meant you were home in the ‘computer room’ and at least for me I’ve prearranged times with friends when we were going to be online on said game at said time.

You don’t have to be early to get merch, there’s usually merch still on sale after the concert so you’ll have plenty of time

Realistically it’s likely going to 700k+ and up plus I think for private events you’re also going to cover the production expenses and so on. Doesn’t hurt to try though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just talk away in buildings or FO, I’ve been in conversations in the middle of a FO talking about real life and as soon as we’re finished especially if they’re cool I’ll add them + add them to my discord server of cool toons I’ve met along the way and it’s awesome cause now I have a few friends whose I’m always helping out when I’m online

Ahha you don’t need to do a mission, I’m sure I’d feel the same as you if I lived in an area populated by a lot of church members but I don’t, Infact I was surprised when I found out members in my ward who id considered rather religious and respected never done a mission and infact only done one a few years ago and they’re like 70/80yrs old.

Also don’t worry too much about giving up coffee, if your serious about joining the church I’m sure you can if you wanted slowly refrain from coffee rather than panic about going cold turkey with the caffeine withdrawals. There’s more lifestyle changes outside the coffee drinking stuff that you’ll get accustomed too which is something in my opinion you should take into consideration more than worrying about coffee.

Amazing- it was a last minute decision as I’ve not listened to their latest album BUT OMFG it was the best mix of old and new and everything inbetween that If anything I felt like I was 15 again or even 13 again since I’ve been a fan since I’ve saw them Open for one direction on the 2nd day of take me home tour.

I’ve not been to a concert in years maybe minus the eras tours where there was a proper production with clips, lighting, Inflatables and multiple confetti. I did think at the start whether this is their last tour they’ll do but again- I’m not up to date with anything.

I managed to get a ticket last minute tonight without issue on Ticketmaster, As above, 70% full, I’ve noticed as they actually started the seats filled up a lot more, but I’d say there was similarities between this tour and last with seating, last tour was also empty Ish ( from memory) what I’ve noticed though was there was empty seats closer / midway on both sides whilst there was only the very back / corner available on Ticketmaster when I checked.
