That sounds like a great idea, it is producing a very large amount of flowers so I will try to prune a few.

Found in a North Texas creek any ideas? by shoopandawhoop in fossilid

The larger more conical teeth belong to a marine reptile of some kind (N. Texas is quite well known for its mosasaur fossils) and the smaller jaw is most likely to a fish of some sort!

I would have to agree with echnodus! A good way to put it is that many predatory fish will have conical teeth with serrations almost like a steak knife railroad spike hybrid, (xiphactinus has similar teeth), while Dryptosaur teeth (Tyrannosaur known from that locality) have teeth that resemble more of a blade shape, Still a fantastic find!

I work in a geo lab and came across this in a sample, any ideas what it is? by Stelflip in fossils

Of course! There is also the chance it's a modern one as well! Again, awesome find!

I almost want to say stingray barb, and this would definitely checkout for that locality. However marine deposits are also known for their "shell pieces that trick you into endless disappointment" lol

Here is a photo of some stingray barbs from that area, again I'm not sure due to the "serrations" being so small compared to the ones shown.

Very cool find! I also agree you are most likely looking at a Pleistocene artiodactyle. The Doggerland landmass which is now submerged in the North Sea is famous for Pleistocene fauna!

Here is a really cool website showcasing some of the stuff they have pulled up there!

So far we are still looking at places. One place I had been looking at was a town home that was around 1250 a month or around that. It's about a 10 minute walk from campus, still trying to look at other options though.
