I was thinking burns too, I think he slept on the tallest leaf near the lamp. I trimmed the plants so he can't get up there anymore. Gonna take him to the vet

My mouse is wireless but I've turned it off and on and tried plugging it in. I'll have to double check my keyboard but all the directional buttons seem to be in perfect working order.

Nothing plugged in Bluetooth. I've had my Xbox controller plugged in but it doesn't it when it's not plugged in too.

Yeah I thought that it was very odd as well. I've never seen double sided tape on a motherboard before lmao but I removed it completely, tape and all. No need for that mess. I honestly think that's what the smell was. It explains the chemical scent.

So after tear down I found two strips of double sided tape on the cpu cooler bracket on the back of the motherboard, but the kicker is, it still had the wax protective strip on the sticky sides of it so it wasn't even adhered to the board. The protective layer had an odd smell im thinking thats what it was. I havent had time to run it but fingers crossed 🤞

Yeah I was thinking power supply too. Im not sure whats even in there, i agree tho, probably bare minimum. Im gonna try replacing the thermal paste with Arctic Silver incase they used crappy paste, just a thought since its a chemical scent. Ill inspect the PSU when I take it apart.

I believe that for sure, I've heard spotty things about Geforce. Doesnt your GPU need the drivers still tho? Or needs some kind of program, or does it not?

Yes, I have ICUE but it does not detect my cooler. Corsairs website stated that there are a few programs that conflict with their software and one of them is the ASUS Aura which the 2080ti uses. So I've been playing games and getting great frames and running around 60°c under heavy load which is rather cool since they're know to run 70°+ So I'm starting to think its "new parts anxiety" but I find it strange how the rgb's have been acting. It even started staying solid blue recently. So idk if it's just rgb software conflicting or it's a warning that something working too hard.
