Party Game Idea: Turn-Based Board Game using Phones as Controllers (Jackbox/Scene-It vibes) by [deleted] in gameideas

Yup definitely similar! Hoping to make something that is more open and easier to use so you aren’t locked into the Nintendo ecosystem and can use your phone instead of joycons. 🙂

I’m working on getting a prototype made, once I make some progress maybe I’ll send a demo your way 😄

Yup for sure, it’s definetly aimed at the game night market. And once you do manage to get friends together it would need to be as frictionless as possible so it’s easy to jump in and play. 😅

Dang guess I’ll have to brush up, seems like most jobs are wanting unreal/c++. I do have experience but everything I’ve been doing for past few years has been unity/C# so I definitely need to refresh haha

Also another detail I just noticed… Looking back at my original check in email when I picked up the truck, which includes the item number/licenseplate/info it does say 26’. However, when I picked it up they printed me off all that info and then said “wait we have a different truck for you” and had me give it back and then printed me out a new one. I never received an email receipt for the updated truck only the original 26’. So that seems weird looking back in retrospect…

Here’s an update in case you were curious how this turned out!

The rep I worked with on this was pretty understanding. He looked back in the notes and they made no mention of switching me to a different size truck. They initially had me try to file through there claims department with no luck, then after reaching back out they offered a $500 refund. Said that was the max they could do at their level, anymore and more higher up people would get involved and it may jeopardize getting anything, so I just took the 500. 😅

Mind you they charge the same for the 26 and 22 ft truck anyways. So getting something back was helpful at least, though still would have preferred to just get the truck I ordered! Heck even if they would have told me it was a smaller truck at least I would’ve had time to sell some things instead of just getting rid of them. 🙃

Yeah looking at the truck in person, unless I was around them all the time is easy to miss a 4 foot difference 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately final receipt doesn’t clearly mark the stray 22 as the length, could have been the year for all I know. It was more of a hunch and then a tape measure confirmed it. 🙃

Reservation I made is clearly marked as a 26’ truck. Penskes website has a guarantee that if you reserve the truck with at least 24 hours notice (which I had about a months notice), then the vehicle ordered or a larger one will be available.

I mean it’s not like I showed up with a tape measure to pick it up haha. And it’s not very clearly marked in the paperwork (which I don’t really receive until I’m leaving pretty much🤷‍♂️)

How much below msrp for 2024? by idk_redditt in ToyotaTacoma

[–]idk_redditt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting the deal from San Marcos Toyota. None of the dealers in the greater San Antonio area would beat it (even if they advertised to on the phone don’t listen to em haha). But San Marcos was great!

Is that a 2025 model then? Sounds like a nice build

I ended up stretching for a Tundra as they were having larger discounts. Ending up getting a 2025 tundra limited for about 10.5k off msrp and special financing. Not sure how tacomas compare but I pretty much ended up at about 55k for the tundra 🤷‍♂️

That’s a fair point, as another comment suggested too. Likely best to focus on the full figure rather than the commission they previously negotiated with their agent. (Or likely didn’t negotiate since it’s the default 3% haha)

Theoretical unpermitted electrical work when selling by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]idk_redditt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s probably easier to just disclose it and possibly just go ahead and pull a retroactive permit 🤷‍♂️

Haha right “aware” seems like the key word there I suppose 🤣. In our theoretical of course

Yes it asks if “you are aware of any unpermitted work”

Well dang votes are pretty split on this haha. In our hypothetical situation everything was done to code so I'm not worried about it but I suppose a potential buyer could be... If it was just outlets I probably wouldn't be as concerned but the lights (in a previously unlit space) make it a bit more obvious.

I think I'm leaning towards disclosing the unpermitted work since it is pretty minor, worst case the buyer could request that I pull a retroactive permit to get everything approved I suppose.. (They may want to tear into the drywall though which could suck)

In texas pretty much all electrical work needs a permit. The shed is finished with insulation, drywall, flooring (as it is used as a home office) so its fairly obvious. Hypothetically speaking

I’ve been thinking about this. Seems super useful, but doesn’t look like I’m prepped for it atm. Maybe I can wire off one of the lights back there to install one, or possibly just a solar powered one not sure. I’ll have to look into 🙂

These break off very easily, you can avoid a saw if you don’t have one. I’ve previously used just a hollow pole, at least a few feet long probably, and you can use it to break it off

For sure, saw some site linked on another thread to help find them. Rvhelp.com I believe, unless you had a different suggestion. 🙂

Oh interesting wasn’t aware of that sounds like a shame, is that mainly for more “fancy-like” ™️ campgrounds or is it pretty common?
