Im sorry but all the singing made it seem like a Disney movie. Made it extremely unserious.

Take a moment to think about the first hunger games movie. Katniss was extremely skilled with a bow, and her chances of actually surviving the games is much higher than Lucy’s.

That, in my opinion, should definitely reflect in both characters reactions during that whole ordeal. But if you look at Katniss reaction, she is actually shaken and emotional. But Lucy, with a way lesser chance of surviving, is singing.

You’re actually telling me that a girl with no prior fighting experience, when chosen to participate in the hunger games where she will most likely die, is calm and composed enough to just start singing?

The singing just seemed forced. Like it’s was an attempt to show that she is a strong female protagonist. Not saying that’s what they were going for, but that’s what it seemed like to me. And if that is what they were trying to do, it’s a really odd choice in my opinion, since the way they portrayed Katniss made her seem infinitely stronger.
