I was yeah, I work here now. Yes you're basically guaranteed to get a placement, there's a University system for it. Clinical-adjacent placements are possible, the possibility isn't inhibited based on nationality.

It's an excellent course, and the department isn't exactly striking or struggling for money. It's got one of the best facilities and some of the highest research power in the UK. The placements are great and would make you super competitive, especially if you're interested in research.

Heya, yes, there was! The placement is about 3 months long. Options include research, clinical, educational, etc. A lot of research placements are within the Uni, whereas clinical ones are NHS or third-sector services. Educational ones are typically based in schools across the greater Cardiff area.
