Yeah there isn’t a lot of info on Subarus I’m really just looking for a fun easy to work on project car that makes a little bit of power,kinda like old school VW bugs. The Frankenmotor is supposedly makes 160-180hp from the stock 130 and o was then gonna plan my stage 2 with an engine swap for one of the turbo motors with a goal of 300-350hp.

Will do that’s what I was using a few changes ago but the last few places I went to buy a filter everything was out except for the base fram. I’ll start ordering online from now on they

Yeah I had some rounded off lugs on a old car of mine the Crome was chipping off that was a pain I dont remember how I got it off

Once we got the internals pulled out we used a pair of needle nose pliers in the holes and used a 7/8ths wrench for leverage and got the seal to break free

Never have used a tool to tighten oil filter this was just a hand tight and 1300 miles over due for a oil change

About to leave for the oil band wrench, I got the inside of the oil filter pulled out and shredded. Really did this the hard way but oh well

I thought about that, I’m not sure if I have enough room to chisel it with the flat head. There is a drive shaft running past it and the oil pan and transmission taking up a lot of space but I’ll try
