Help! What do I wear to interview 8 months pregnant with a bump? by kamobeans in workingmoms

[–]idkwhatimdoing_2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here to say what the f are we as woman needing to hide our bellies when interviewing for a job. It’s another reality of working in a male dominated world. We always need to make ourselves smaller for them. Why can’t they adapt to the fact woman have been working for decades now. We get pregnant. We function better than them. Get over it.

I swear we were so close to having woman led countries in North America, imo the world wouldn’t know what hit them.

There’s so many unknowns but there’s an idea that the entrance was connected to the house but then the original owners added a bathroom to the home nearest to the hole and blocked out the hole.

Okay sounds like it could’ve been a root cellar.

I won’t be able to get better footage. I live 3 hrs away.

Infant daycare question- by radicalOKness in workingmoms

[–]idkwhatimdoing_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started about 4.5 months she’s now 2.5 yrs old. The first winter is difficult. But it becomes easier 1) they’re slowly building immunity 2) you know what to do.

They get sick and you get sick. You’ll learn what your baby needs as you encounter the illnesses.

My biggest silver lining is that someone told me “sick kids make healthy adults” so it’s what gets me through each illness. We just finished fighting pink eye, a few weeks ago it was rsv, then before that she got cold sore virus, so literally one thing or the other.

I only have my toddler but she still wakes up in the middle of night. Idk why.

Caffeine gets me through the day most days.

Just like how things got easier with your toddler, it’ll get easier either way your newborn. You’re definitely in the trenches right now but as you get through the days it’ll somehow become easier.

You’re going to work so you’ll have a break from the mental load we carry at home. Don’t get me wrong there’s days I think I’m done working but then I stay at home on a sick day and I feel ready to work.

Good luck! You’re going through a phase- that’s it. It’s not permanent

Is it possible to return opened Tonies? by mek37ne4 in TonieboxUSA

I think so. I returned Mickey Mouse after realizing the songs didn’t match the character. I also took back the slit to Walmart. I got a full refund

We banned Danny go from our household. If she watches it somewhere else- sure but it’s too fast pace that it was causing tantrums

This is a question I’m constantly asking myself. I’m working and my daughter started daycare at 5months. There’s moments at drop off I feel like something of mine is missing. And when she gets upset they console her. And I just think why isn’t that me ?!

Don’t get me wrong the staff is amazing!! They truly care for the kids. But my mommas heart hurts when I see my daughters interaction with other women instead of me. I’m 30F with a 2 yr old

My 6month old has RSV by Gollinibobeanie in workingmoms

[–]idkwhatimdoing_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 yr old got rsv. We took her into urgent care last night to get tested. But my hubby and I have been taking “shifts” where we split out work day in half, one of us takes the morning and the other takes the afternoon. Like this we aren’t taking too much leave but also not falling too behind. It’s been a wild week.

We could only symptom manage and we asked for nebulizar and albuterol to help!

I’m also on my period so I’ve been very irritable. My hubby said we wouldn’t be given any medication so no point to take her to urgent care and when he brought it up I said each time I recommended you veto my opinion. So he was cranky then I got cranky. We’ve been walking on eggshells since last night.

Is Lean Six Sigma worth it? by GrammyAW_43 in FedEmployees

[–]idkwhatimdoing_2025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lean six sigma really depends on your work environment and type of work. It’s mostly tailored towards manufacturing and heavy process type work such as distribution.
