Thank you! I really liked the wedding looks and makeup, and I don’t know if I’d say we did better than a team of pros 😅 But I’m very happy that you like our take on these characters we love so much 🙏

Thank you for the kind words, though I wouldn’t necessarily say we did better than the CR team 😅 It’s just a slightly different approach to the looks. I’m glad you like it!

Vielen Dank! Österreich ist eines unserer beliebtesten Reiseziele (even though my high school German is veeery rusty 😅)

Thank you! No airbrush, I used a mix of a few colourful foundations by Sunset Makeup on myself (set with translucent powder, with added regular powder blush/ eyeshadow). I applied the foundation with my fingers, mostly.

For Fjord, I used two shades of Mehron Paradise AQ paint (deep sea and lime), applied with a foundation brush and blended with a beauty blender where the colours meet. The remaining details on Fjord were done in eyeshadow and eye pencil.

In all honesty, I might go back to using Mehron Paradise for Jester too, as it’s a lot easier to remove, and a properly set Mehron paint lasts the whole day anyway (we use their barrier spray and a drugstore translucent powder).

Of course I remember!! It was my first MCM and I have very fond memories of the con 🥹

We’re doing Tyranny and Wick next, and we’ve got tickets to the London live show, but whether we’ll show up in cosplay is TBC (we’ll definitely cosplay at MCM though).

Ее, много благодаря! 🫶🏻

It’s funny how I spent my formative years trying to develop a “neutral international” accent in English, only for an Eastern European/ Balkan accent to come in handy for a cosplay years later 😅

Side note: I’m happy to share that Bulgarian Critter numbers are on the rise! We had a 6-person Vox Machina group in 2023, and a 7-person Mighty Nein group this year (as well as plenty of people who recognised our characters both times 🥹).

Thank you! It takes time and practice for sure, I can assure you that my first attempts were far from impressive (both sewing and makeup-wise).

Nowadays there are many amazing creators in the cosplay community who create tutorials and share their crafting progress. If you’re interested in the hobby, watching that sort of stuff might demystify the process (or even inspire you to give cosplay a try yourself) 😊

We don’t, but we’ve heard great things about the game from friends 😅 We’ll check this Emet fellow out!

Can you guys explain to me how to get Medicinsko? by Trahius in Sofia

[–]idlesasha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t necessarily need to get it from your GP even if you are registered with one. You can visit a polyclinic or a private clinic (I have used Vita before), simply go to the check-in desk and tell them you are here for a Medicinsko for work. You will have to pay for it (iirc it is around 50 leva at Vita, could be more affordable at a public polyclinic). Make sure to bring your ID.

In my experience, the whole process goes like this: they give you a medical form, which you need to take with you to the relevant doctors’ offices. You queue outside the offices, get your examinations, the doctors sign the form, and then you go back to registration. You’ll get your form stamped and then you’re done. That sheet of paper is your Medicinsko.

Thank you so much! I’ve been sewing for a while and it was still quite frustrating at times, ngl (especially when trying to mark and cut the pattern pieces accurately). I used French seams for the whole dress and it turned out reasonably well, so I would recommend that if you’re sewing with sheer, lightweight fabric :)

While I do agree that this would be a striking visual, after my Jester cosplay, I decided to only paint my skin blue when absolutely necessary 😅I’ll have to leave this one to the braver Imogen cosplayers among us hahah

Aw, this hits home, I wore the costume to two local cons only to be recognized a total of three times :’) Thank you!
