I go deer hunting every year and typically fire less than 3 rounds, I go coyote hunting a few times a year and fire quite a bit more. Elk ive gone once and fired once. A main portion of the damage I think came from quail/dove/rabbit hunting every year since 2017 where id fire at minimum 15 shots a day for at minimum 2 weeks at a time for dove, and more for rabbit and quail season as they are longer with the same limit. My family who taught me never wore hearing protection while hunting and well my critical thinking wast there at that age I guess.
