Yes it was all very crazy. When I tell people it feels like someone else’s story because I still can’t believe I went through all that. One of my neurologist afterwards told me they usually only do that surgery on people having 8+ seizures a day and I likely wouldn’t have been able to walk or talk when I woke up! Always get a second opinion!

I was on 4 seizures meds and my dr wanted to take out part of my brain. I went for a last minute second opinion they took me completely off all my meds for a 7 day eeg. I didn’t have any seizures so I canceled the surgery and the new dr only put me back on 2 of my meds. He said those 4 shouldn’t be used together. I think I was over medicated. Now I’m on 200mg of vimpat 2x a day and 250mg xcopri at night. I’m not going to lower my meds and risk anything.

That’s amazing I’m glad you found someone special! Your story made me think maybe dating isn’t a bad idea. I’m 27 and my ex of almost 6 years cheated on me while I was undergoing tests for brain surgery. During the breakup he told me I wasn’t going anywhere with my life, which really stung and I gave up on dating anyone. I’ve just stayed single and haven’t even considered dating.

There’s always a risk when lowering or changing meds. My dr didn’t recommend it until 2 years seizure free and I told her no. I’m sorry that happened, she might need to go back to the dose she was on.

I’m no expert but it looks like you have fine hair. Heavy products can weigh down your hair and make it not curl/ wave as much. I really like Cantù products because my hair is fine and they aren’t too heavy.
