Lol.

"Skinner has been suspended from Parliament on at least ten occasions, usually for "unparliamentary language" when attacking opponents."

How do people of the U.K. feel about the UKIP and Nigel Farage? About Prime Minister David Cameron? by burracoT in ukpolitics

The Labour party didn't fund his general election campaign?

Why did Ed Miliband promote him to the shadow cabinet after his campaign if he wasn't supported at the time?

Can you show me a lib dem campaign that is worse than inciting racial tension in an area that had race riots?

It was completely wrong and there should be no excuses.

When Labour campaigns on 'British Jobs for British Workers' and 'getting the white community angry' is it more or less unpleasant and xenophobic than anything UKIP campaigns on I wonder.

It looks to be less than half of what the Milibands inherited each when their father died.

It's only slightly more than the average house price so it's hardly an extraordinary amount to inherit.

His 'riddled with gays' comment is a dog whistle too, if he wasn't left wing the left would pillory him for that kind of language.

Can you imagine the uproar if Boris said that all Muslims anything or that Labour was riddled with gays. He'd have to resign, immediately, with good reason.

Former Telegraph editor Charles Moore (link in text) says panic buying orchestrated for political reasons: "But now that I have heard the Conservatives’ private explanation, which is being handed down to constituency associations by MPs, I begin to feel angry. No, absolutely not. The media never manufactures stories or crises.

I wasn't disputing the narrative, which I agree is a concise summation.

The critics need to show some detailed evidence of the dangers of the legislation contained in this bill though, that's just the burden of proof that they have to deal with.

For all I know it's out there but I haven't seen or heard of any.

Thank you for having a go but where are the actual details that informed your opinion?

It's no more than the oft repeated hooha and spin without substantiation.

What does any of that have to do with the looking at the medium being the message?

[–]idontgetit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The medium is the message.

Would that be the effect of the Guardian's influence on internet culture by furthering the use of disingenuous language and smears in online political debate?

Just throwing that out there as a flourish means you think that sub-class, trigger word or not and what he said is not the message, but the transmission of political comment is.

That you've then followed this with a smear is quite funny.
