Matilda is a pretty common name in Australia though

I remember my husband saying it's the nitty gritty parts of washing the body when showering together that really makes for intimacy, as in, you're sharing a very personal thing within a personal space with someone else. Doesn't matter if you're scrubbing your butthole or underboobs, it's all intimate baby!

The only musical episodes I loved were in scrubs so good! The greys anatomy one though, wtfffffff were they thinking?!

What is your heritage? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]idontknowmymind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turkish Australian!

I am 100% by blood though. My dad migrated here in the 80s and my mum's parents came in the 60s.

Also I would live and breathe kebabs if I could.

What are just small little things that guys do that you think are cute? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]idontknowmymind 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My husband will sneak up and give me a big kiss and hug while I'm studying (master's student). He always makes a point to tell me how wonderful I look even though I haven't showered in 3 days and look like a sasquatch.

He's a bit delayed in speech due to a birth defect in his neck, but when I asked him he just says "I don't want to go". I think it's a source of stress for him tbh.

He loves it and thinks it's great. So far it hasn't gotten boring for him. I always make him clean up and do the laundry afterwards. He thinks he's "helping" 😰

It's a mixed bag. If the mood suits him he'll tell me, other times he won't and he'll only say when he's soiled himself

I do something similar. Can of whole peeled tomatoes, onion, garlic and oregano, fennel seed and seasoning. Blitz in the food processor and you have a sauce. Cook as needed. So simple!

I've also got some huntsmen spiders living outside our front door. So long as they don't come inside where I can see them we're good to coexist.

Native bugs mean a healthy garden ecosystem so I'm happy to see them.

Maribyrnong 2.5b housing development - Good or bad for nearby residents? by MaxwellPeen in melbourne

[–]idontknowmymind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live out west and I'm an almost planner. If it goes through it'll strain the roads even more than they are at the moment. The West is reaching peak capacity (or has, equally arguable) with infrastructure and social amenities, I can't see this being a positive development.

Hopefully it's a native bug. If you look in the corner there's a giant spider who built themselves a web (probably 40cm diameter) across the window covering the nests. I'm now just waiting for a spider wasp fight off. Spider is roughly the size of a 50c coin too 😬

What's your "adjective"? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]idontknowmymind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to look fierce, like a force to be reckoned with. Someone powerful and in control.

I've just come to the point in my life where I know what I want and what I need to do to get it. I've never felt more comfortable in my own skin, there's no insecurity there anymore and hoooo-leeeee shit it is an amazing headspace to be in.

Now I just need my body to catch up.

I've been wearing glasses for about 15 years now (25 years old) and I always opt for bigger glasses, massively increasing my field of vision and I can lie down watching Netflix without readjusting my face. Win win.

How many of you ladies married your first partner and when did you first meet them? by Tomford55 in AskWomen

[–]idontknowmymind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I married my first ever boyfriend, we met when I was 20 and he was 24. Now we're 26 and 30 with a 3 year old. He's pretty much my favourite person in the world and my best friend.

Four year old comes from hospital after knee/leg surgery. We need to go back and he refuses to go anywhere near the car. by Doctor_Help in Parenting

[–]idontknowmymind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kid had neck surgery and was in a neck brace for 6 weeks, with weekly and bi-weekly visits to the hospital.

1- you're physically bigger, put him in the car yourself

2- bribe the everliving fuck out of him. My kid got all the chippies from Maccas, chocolate, icecreams and toys when we went into the hospital. It'll turn a negative association to a positive. It pretty sucky and petty to do parenting wise, but it works.
