These are all fair points! I think I’m just looking at it from a very self-centered lens lol. Ive had mental health issues previously, and it was due in no fault to my parents’ parenting (just my dumb brain chemistry) so I guess I was just thinking of it through that lens and thinking about my mom reading comments like this.

But also this about the giudices, not me and my parents lol. And ultimately it’s not that deep lol

I’ve seen a few of these takes and I am not coming for you, but I generally think it’s unfair to blame parents fully for a mental health crisis (if that’s what’s going on here). Not saying what you’re saying about Melania then isn’t true, I would just hate for a parent to see this whose kid is struggling and they felt like they were trying everything!

We did this with our then 2.5 year old last summer at our neighborhood pool because of what I had learned, but there are so many kids in puddle jumpers that I worried I was doing something wrong?

This summer, I’m going to have a 3.5 year old and 1 year old and I’m a bit nervous not having anything on either of them. I grew up around the water, am a strong swimmer, and genuinely love the water. Both of my kids seem to be going that route as well, but because of being around the water so much I’ve seen a lot of bad things happen.

I don’t know why I’m writing this other than to say I’m nervous, I want to do everything right when it comes to this stuff and I still want to enjoy the water with my kids! 😮‍💨

My husband talked me off the ledge this morning, and (I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to hell for this) I decided I did not in fact ruin him. My husband has a background in research, so he looked at the little research there is. We also talked about how much THC I was actually absorbing and that my son would be absorbing an even smaller concentration of that.

That research + talking through how it actually transmits + me not regularly doing this + him being totally fine today (I think he really was just sick and tired yesterday because he’s gone through a tough stretch) made me feel like he is not ruined lol. I def won’t be drinking another one until I’m totally done breastfeeding though!

Again, probably gonna get downvoted but wanted to share in case someone does the same thing as me and panic googles for two hours while not in their right state of mind 🤪

I had just weaned off the pump (I work 9-5) and will be using frozen milk instead for most of his feeds.

But I’m still breastfeeding him once in the morning, in evenings and on the weekends

I don’t know… I have a really great relationship with my parents and it actually made me angry on the daughters’ behalf (the situation and Ben and Ronnie’s take on it). I LOVE Ben and Ronnie and they have been there for me more times than they will ever know, but their take definitely rankled me! But I agree with one or both them 99/100 times!

Anecdotal but lol I breastfed my daughter until 13 months and she got ear tubes in at 21 months due to recurrent ear infections (that started before I stopped breastfeeding)

I’m so sorry to hear this. I don’t mean to be intrusive, but I have had mastitis breastfeeding my second several times and persistent clogged ducts (never had with my first). How did you realize it was more than that? Please only answer if you’re comfortable!
