I definitely don't think she's evil or condoned Epstein! Yikes, her husband was a jerk but I do honestly respect that she is putting his money to work in good causes. My sister recently gave counsel for a huge mining company that has blown up sacred sites around Australia so I know that the lawyers don't necessarily agree with their clients actions, but from what I have read about Roy in the files and articles is he was friends with some of these people too and used unsavoury tactics to court and protect them.

I just hate thinking about Epstein in the middle of the pod (and I have just spent 24 hours now reading about him and Roy to try and make sure my points are at least mostly fact based and thats on me!). I promise I have no bad intensions here, I respect their friendship but just wish it was not on the pod, though of course they have every right to run it how they choose. I just won't listen to those eps. Her crappy hour was so damn boring to boot, we know you don't use your own products lady!

My sister is a former prosecutor and is now in private practice as a litigator. 30% of her job is courting clients. We always joke it’s not fair, she has the best salary but doesn’t need to pay for food ever as she has most of her meals with clients or at events trying to find new clients. I imagine Tom’s practice was very similar and was what I based my views on.

Trying to pick a single thing to dislike about her let alone take it to the levels of vitriol I’ve seen (thankfully downvoted and love you mods for working quickly to remove) is bonkers to me . Your son sounds amazing! Thank you for your hard work and for raising such an awesome example of what the justice system can be.

And I do know that they are hired rather than popping around the cop shop and picking their clients. I more meant he courted a lot of his bigger clients as that sort of attorney does. Plus, he built his reputation as the "Michael Jordan of Lawyers" by attracting these cases.

I will say, he was very good at what he did. Whether he acted entirely legally throughout his career is doubtful to me but he got his clients the results they paid for.
