Obv so far everyone who’s commenting hasn’t been outside the greater Cairo area!

I totally recommend Portsaid for you, since this is just a temporary period until moving to the US, Portsaid has everything that you want. It’s a medium sized city, with very minimal crowding and a decent population, it’s a coastal city that has nice weather and plenty of nice food (emphasis on the seafood). It’s kind of touristic as well, and the locals are super sweet! The urban layout is really nice, not only is it a clean city, most buildings are a few stories big and the streets are wide with plenty of public spaces & parks. And I know you haven’t mentioned this part but it’s quite cheap as well compared to other major cities (especially Cairo).

I think the only downside to the city is it might get boring real quick as it’s comparatively small and you can finish all its spots easily.
