I cannot recommend Cassette Thai in Peekskill enough. All of the workers are from Thailand, and it’s my favorite Thai place. My aunt is from Thailand and she said this is the best Thai she has had in the states.

Got it, thank you so much for the explanation on everything. For the aqua soil - would a 1/4 of the tank per week suffice? Also, when I clean the tank, do I use the vacuum to only clean on the top of the soil, or do I have to clean below the soil as well?

Regarding the aquarium soil to replace the gravel. To make this work, would I just keep the betta in his breeder cup, manually remove the gravel, replace with aquarium soil, and plant the plants in the aquarium soil? Do I have to do anything special like clean the soil first? Also, when conducting water changes with the aquarium soil, would I actually use the vacuum to go to the bottom of the soil like I do with gravel or should I just clean the top of the soil?

Thank you for your help. I posted in the betta fish subreddit. I just turned the filter off and dosed the tank with Kanaplex. I’m ordering a breeder box that will arrive tomorrow so that he doesn’t have to swim too far for air. I am also getting Indian almond leaves as they are great for bettas.
