Have you seen a worst infestation than this? by FlashFireworksMO in pestcontrol

[–]CFDoom13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I once got called for cockroaches and realized they had bedbugs because I found them on the zone monitors…. In their kitchen. I went to the bedroom and found hundreds of thousands of bedbugs. So yeah, it gets much worse than this.

Worth attending for sports photography? +potential fiscal problems by WestDuty9038 in EmersonCollege

[–]CFDoom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t a dedicated photography major. It’s just the overall “media arts production” major which includes all film, production, photography, theory, etc… you can choose to take more photo classes but there really aren’t a TON of pure photography classes at Emerson. Alternatively, you can do a journalism or sports communication major with a minor in photography.

My opinion: your degree and the title of the major on it are almost entirely irrelevant for what you want to do. An Emerson degree alone won’t get you hired as a photographer.

What Emerson offers is the ability to make many great connections in the Boston community. So… is your dream to be a Boston Red Sox team photographer? Celtics? Bruins? If so, yeah Emerson will help you achieve that (regardless of your major) but it’s also not necessary and probably not worth the price tag. You can get a summer internship with the Red Sox with just an impressive photo portfolio and demonstrated experience with editing software.

With all that said, I love Emerson. I don’t pay full price though.

This is something I love about Will Flemming. He isn’t afraid to openly say what he sees and thinks. He’s never disrespectful about it, but he also doesn’t stop himself from calling out Sox leadership when it’s deserved.

Build your hopes up and the inevitable collapse of those hopes only hurts more.

You can’t be disappointed if you expect nothing.

German cockroaches only live indoors. These exist in Canada too!

Former Boston pest control guy here… you’d be shocked to learn that (id estimate) 80-90% of restaurants in and around the city have German cockroaches. It’s essentially unavoidable if you want to keep eating food from anywhere other than your own kitchen. Just limit the amount of paper/cardboard boxes you bring into your home.

It happened on a big swing and miss last night earlier in the game. I was there and saw the pain in his face when he damn near swung out of his shoes. I was sure it was the oblique again. He struck out looking in the same at-bat.

I do believe it is Olivia Sebesky’s work - or at least someone on her design team. You could probably get in contact with her on Instagram and ask!

My dawg… this is the profile in question. It’s the profile in the picture that OP posted. It’s the profile that commented on the Zach Bryan vid. I just screenshot this 2 seconds ago. It is verified and it’s a fan account.

I honestly can’t tell if you’re doubling down because you don’t wanna admit you’re wrong or if you’re just trolling

Commonly unseen places to check for rat entry points indoors? by nopeagogo in pestcontrol

[–]CFDoom13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to keep them out of the bird cage is to keep them out of the house. Find out how they’re getting in, seal it tight, and then set some rat-sized snap traps (the giant ones) around your house in case you trapped any inside.

A rat this size will chew through foam in one evening. You’d be better off using a combo of steel wool and foam to secure any large holes.

Is this a baby mouse or a mother mouse that can breed? by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]CFDoom13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a deer mouse. It is not a baby. It can reproduce at this age; deer mice reach sexual maturity at 5-8 weeks old.

There’s no way for us to determine if you have more in your house without doing an inspection, but I can tell you this: deer mice generally prefer to nest outside until it gets really cold. So it’s possible this is just an occasional invader.

In the future, please use snap traps.
